Now that Jeremy is one of the 5 hunters, does his ring work anymore? Actually the ring only works on humans against supernatural attacks. Does Jeremy belong to human or supernatural now?
I'm not sure too, they haven't said anything about it :(
i think, a hunter is also something supernatural and that Jeremy's ring won't work on him anymore. But we'll see, maybe the producers will say something about it.
Interesting question. It presumably didn't work on Elena (or at least worked when she stabbed Alaric, which means it considered her a supernatural being) and she didn't even have any real powers, just kinda looking like someone. And Jeremy seems to at least have super strength, so odds are it won't work anymore. Although it may be so that it's the tattoo that's supernatural, and that Jeremy is really still human and that thus the ring will still revive him (in the same way that someone wearing the ring has the power to come back from the dead but the ring will still revive it's wearer and not consider the wearer supernatural because the ability isn't "innate"). Let's hope he never finds out though, I mean giving it a try would be kind of futile although I suppose he could alwats put his ring on an other person and snap his neck, if he's supernatural the person will return if the ring doesn't consider him supernatural he'll die =p.
Although I do wonder, when Elena accidentally killed him after Connor's death he revived even though he already had the tattoo, I wonder if he could already be considered a hunter at that point and if it thus that event proves that it does still work. In addition it's always possible that this will simply be an oversight for the writers who hadn't considered the full implications of becoming a hunter.
that theory with Elena killing Jeremy and him reviving is good. I think this is some proof that the ring still works. Maybe the writers will say something about. And maybe you're right, maybe the writers didn't consider the full implications of becoming a hunter. ^^
What do you think?
