Should Caroline Have Told Stefan About Damon and Elena?
I think no b/c she needs it to stay out of it, she broke Elena's promise, and what goes on b/w Delena is none of Caroline+Stefan's business.
I'm not saying that this is what I believe because I don't. I'm saying that this is what Caroline believes. Just because WE see a side of Damon, doesn't mean that the other characters do. Think about it; when Damon does something selfless, Caroline isn't usually there. She doesn't really see the things that Damon does. It doesn't help that Damon never apologized to Caroline for the things he's done to her (and not just the things from Season 1). To Caroline, Damon is just some jerk who feels no remorse for any of the completely heartless things he's done to her and others.
Caroline is fully justified to think Damon is a creep, but she promissed Elena she would not judge and let Elena tell Stefan in her own time.
Tia Serena, thank you.
And Maria Trimble, yeah just because we see a side of Damon, doesn't mean that the other characters do.
But the problem for me with Caroline is that she keeps hanging onto the past. She keeps talking about how Damon is never right, he's rude, and whatever else. And that person is Season 1 Damon. Let it go! She knows that Damon has changed. Like she has the nerve to say bad things about Damon in front of Elena but won't say it front of Stefan? Wow. How can she defend somebody she doesn't even know? The Stefan she knows is not the real Stefan. "Say what you want about Ripper Stefan." Sure, she hasn't even seen Ripper Stefan whom is the Real Stefan.
If she would take the time to talk to Damon and he would apologize to her...
I don't care if she hates Damon. She needs to respect Elena's decision and stop judging her, stay out of her love life. b/c during 4x07 to 4x08, I thought it was Stefan making things worst in the love triangle, but I was wrong, it was Caroline!
She needs to worry about her own love life which is Tyler vs Klaus.
To all: I understand each contributor's point-of-view on this issue. I also know that Caroline should not have told Stefan or even indicated to Stefan (so he figured it out based upon his conversation with Caroline in the last episode) about the true relationship between Elena and Damon. Elena told Caroline to let her (Elena) tell him herself. Caroline did not respect their friendship. I also remember in Season One (before Elena knew that Stefan and Damon were vampires), Elena was protective of Caroline because she thought that Caroline was in an abusive relationship with Damon. Elena thought this because of the scarves Caroline was wearing on her neck. So, both girls are good friends but Caroline is jeopardizing her friendship with Elena by not respecting her wishes.
Funny enough, on the episode that Caroline says that "Damon is never right", he is right twice:
He told Stefan they should look for another Hunter and leave Jeremy alone. Stefan-with-attitude ignored Damon's advice and forced Jeremy to kill that vampire, and as consequence, Jeremy tried to kill Elena.
He also told April that she should wear the bold red dress, instead of the conservative blue Caroline insisted - April won the pageant wearing the red dress, proving that was the right choice (or that the pageant was rigged...)
Damon has done Caroline harm so she is never going to give him the benefit of the doubt which I can understand. She wants Elena with Stefan partly because Stefan as a better brother.
So The Ripper is a better option for Elena? Caroline doesn't even know Stefan b/c the real Stefan is the Ripper! And Stefan is no better than Damon.
When Damon feeds off of people he doesn't kill them. However when Stefan does, he kills the person and rips them apart!
Look if Caroline wants to help...She can do so by staying out of it.
I was remarking on why Caroline does not like Damon. They do have a complicated reltionship. I remember how he defended Caroline to Liz after the first time she found out that Caroline was a vampire.
I am not saying that Stefan is better for Elena but why Caroline would think so.
I can understand why Caroline hates Damon, season 1 stuff. Damon will never apologiise (he never does, he's stubborn), Caroline will never forget. Okay, fine.
But how come she judges Damon when she's buddying it up with KLAUS? Damon'a a thousand times better than Klaus. Caroline can look past the fact that Klaus has tried to kill every one of her friends (and killed Jenna), but Damon 'is never right'? Damon's 'ugh'? Seriously?
And she should NOT have told Stefan. Did she even try to keep her promise? I don't think so.
What do you think?
