Well, since the inevitable has happened and by that I mean Elena turning off her humanity, I wanted to open up to discussion the idea of Elena becoming a Ripper. For those that don't know, Rippers are sadistic vampires who enjoy abusing, dispatching, and mutilating their victims and normally have their humanity switched off i.e Stefan Salvatore. Leave your thoughts..
No I don;t not at this point. I think Stefan when he first turned he enjoyed being a vampire, the bloodlust and the power got to his head and he lost his humanity as soon as he killed his father and the taste of blood was all he ever thought of or wanted.
Elena on the other hand seems to know her limits but then again I haven't seen Elena's character in action as post-humananity Elena because episode 16 hasn't aired yet so I will know more then but right now from what I've seen then no she won't become a ripper but who knows
She does seem to go on a binge by feasting on the opposing cheerleading team.
I wouldn't like her to become another Katherine, I like Katherine and her character but do not want a twin of her character.
A ripper Elena would be fun to watch as she is always so tightly wound up all the time even after becoming a vamp she hasn't let herself enjoy Vampirism. Maybe the show could move to some other locality where Elena could run away from MFalls and the Salvatores will have to follow to save the people of that town from Elena.
If Elena does become a Ripper her chances of being free to enjoy humanity are slim as she will simply die if Damon asks her to feel again. Remember what Stefan went through to get away from Ripper Stef, he is still, struggling.
Maybe Elena would become so detached that she would go along with Klaus plans or even Silas plans to kill 12 more and help Bonnie as Elena without humanity may not be concerned with what will happen if they unleash the other world evils on humans.
i do not know the answer to that question.
let's hope the show gives us an answer that we all can live with.
Well, I don't know... she started pretty well with a Vampire Genocide - by killing Kol and consequently killing all the vampires he sired....

Haha thanks for reminding me. Killing Kol= vampire genocide! So true.
The thing is, she did not look like she was "out of control" when she hatched the plan to Kill Kol... she seemed calm, composed and thinking that rationally that was the only logical step to have Damon uncompelled and complete Jeremy's mark...
The fact that earlier on the same day she had a hissy fit because Damon went along with Klaus in turning 20 strangers in a bar into vampires for Jer to kill, later in the evening she is all cool with murdering Kol and his entire vampire sire line....
What? Vampires are not innocent people?
I was so pissed off about the whole killing Kol and his bloodline to complete a mark is A-OK, but killing 12 people so that Silas can drop the veil between the worlds is wrong. Logic, Elena, you have none, even with your humanity,
But since Jeremy was technically supernatural when he died (given that the ring didn't work), Kol's probably just laughing at him on the other side - or kicking his ghost ass.
If Silas does raise the dead though, Kol can be brought back as his body didn't get completely cremated. Plus, he'll heal from the burns pretty quickly being an Original badass. Caroline and Tyler moved Kol's body out of the house during clean-up day, so it's safe. Elena, however, burnt the house down with Jeremy inside, so there's no way to bring Jeremy back as his body is too far past the resurrection-stage.
I wonder if that was on purpose, them moving Kol's body. But anyway, knowing that Kol is back and Jeremy was unable to be resurrected might send Elena over the edge, but I'm not sure how much emotion for Jeremy she'd be able to feel with her humanity switched off. I think until something really bad happens (Elena killing Matt or god, even Bonnie), she won't completely "lose" it and go Ripper.
If Silas raise the dead, I am pretty sure they will come back wrong !
I do not bet on any of our favorites, including Lexi or Kol, joining the ranks of the happy undead. I believe it will be a rehash of what we saw in Ghost World : so many bad consequences that they will have to "close the portal", "raise the veil" or whatever metaphor they are using this days.
Actually I am pretty sure it will be their own version of Zombie Apocalypse !
What do you think?
