Emstar and contributor 72.188 - I agree with you both. I did not want to believe that JPlec had the nerve to kill off Bonnie but she has a few tricks to keep us guessing about her plans for Bonnie's character. I also remember the scene in Season Two when Bonnie and Damon planned and faked her death in front of Klaus/Alaric. Just like you said that they are planning something to reflect the need for Bonnie and how her character is so important for the show so I now have hope (after reviewing your posts) that she will return in Season Five.
Honey, I JUST literally 5 minutes ago watched that scene before seeing your post. It was a great moment between Bonnie and Damon. They actually work so well together. In that episode, Damon also said to Stefan "I'll make all the life and death decisions while you're worrying about collateral damage. I'll even let her hate me for it. But at the end of the day, I'll be the one to keep her alive." Damon was so right, as evidenced by the end of season 3. When Elena makes decisions about life and death situations, people, including herself, end up hurt and/or dead. That is probably the main thing, and really the only thing that totally bugs me about her. Sometimes, there is such a thing as being too selfless. And she expects her friends to let her die for them...but they can't do it for her...?
