I was on Facebook earlier, and one of my liked TVD fanpages said that the beginning of season five will find a former vampire who is trying to adjust to the human life after ingesting the cure....and that a "Shocking Salvatore secret" will be revealed! What the hell is that supposed to mean? LOL! Thoughts?
Bonnie will indeed be throughout season five as a regular. I, too, read a couple of different interviews that Plec gave after the finale aired. Bonnie is going to face some obstacles, like not being able to touch the boy she loves and have him feel her, even though they can see each other. Jeremy will be able to see her when everyone else cannot. I think I misread what ElijahKatherineFan89 said about Bonnie before my prior comment. She will be a part, likely a big part, of season five. I was thinking you meant she wouldn't be resurrected before the end of season five, which I do agree with.
The thing is, it can't be easy to come somebody as a ghost for 20-ish episodes straight and have them appear in almost all of them. I'm really interested as to how that's gonna play out.
I don't know how it will play out, I only know that Julie said Kat Graham is still working for her under contract to TVD as Bonnie Bennett and that she will be in the show. I guess we will find out how it will turn out once season five begins. The show is set to run at least 6 seasons, so long as it gets picked up after season 5...I'm sure there will be a resolution of some kind to Bonnie being a ghost. I like her character and would like to see her back as a part of the gang, in corporeal form. :)
I think they got a two-year renewal, but I'm not sure
They did not a get a two season renewal, but the main cast has signed a 6 year contract (done at the show's beginning), that's why I said they are set to run for 6 seasons so long as they get picked up again after season five. Six seasons has always been the goal. They won't write season 6 until season 5 is over, although I'm sure they have ideas brainstormed for it. :)
Did anyone realise there's a problem with Silas explaining his escape from fossilization..he said he got free coz Bonnie died OK, but how about when Qetsia died? How come if she spelled him and died he failed to wake up upon her death? Like I know people would try and say no with Qetsia he fossilized not from a spell but from starvation but really does that hold? it doesnt make sense for him to fossilize with a mask on, he could have removed it if he was getting hungry for blood and also to hold the cure in his hands across his chest reminds me too much of the way Mikael was mortified by magic in season 3.To me another glaring flaw in the finale is how the dead who are walking since the vail is down are 'killed' at all..I mean can someone kill a ghost like how Damon killed Vaughn or Connor blew himself up? It's not like they became human they remianed ghosts but simply corporeal ghosts but ghosts still so to say they were killed in the triangle is weird and false
Ah, good to know.
What if that has something to do with Qetsiyah never showing up when the veil was down? Just a random thought. Maybe she is in a self-induced coma-like state somewhere? We will have to wait and see what is up with that in season five! Hope they explain that. :)
I've seen many people are puzzled by that magic situation and I think it depends on how good you're as a witch and if you're using spirit or expression magic. (I think Qetsiyah was a lot more powerful than Bonnie because Bonnie is a main character, she can't be too powerful or it becomes rather meaningless to tell a story)
Bonnie's grams said that expression is the manifestation of your will, you can do anything but as Silas said a spell is always linked with something, the problem is we don't know where everything is linked.
I suspect this: Qetsiyah and/or Silas linked their immortality spell on Silas to itself/himself (paradox I know) therefore he has to die in order for the immortality to be gone but he can't die so he became truly immortal and then nature fought back with the whole doppelgänger thing. While technically he was truly immortal I think the cure was Qetsiyah's little idea that basically was a loophole in itself, it would strip away the link of his immortality either as I said on himself or itself breaking his "true" immortality then at the same time make him human and then mortal again.
When Qetsiyah found out about Silas loving someone else I would say she either just did a successful dessication/petrification spell and because of her power she might not have needed expression and thus not linking the spell to herself (we still don't know what happened to Qetsiyah after Silas became trapped on that island)
When Bonnie's mother cast the dessication spell on Michael in the 90s she probably managed to do it because it took everything, almost her life and after that she lost her connection to magic if I remember (this part is rather weird but I think it's because witches themselves needs a balance too and all that and because of Original's resistance to magic). What exactly that spell was linked too I don't know.
When Bonnie in the next-last episode of Season 4 trapped Silas in stone she obviously used expression after Grams's speach I mentioned earlier and since it's a manifestation of one's will it was linked to her just like Silas said and when she died he was released.
What do you think?
