We now know that Silas using the imortality spell caused the Stefan Doppelgänger. So could it be that Esther using the same spell on the orignals caused the Petorva Doppelgänger. We know that it was Tatia's blood used in the spell.
On the one hand it would make sense exactly why Tatia had to die in the ritual to make the mikaelsons immortal....she is an off shot of a true immortal and therefore is a key ingredient for any immortality spell after the one done on the first originator just as was done on Silas. Now you may ask why dont Mikaleson's have doppelgangers?.Simple reason is when they were created they were not created to be invincible(the white oak stake was the fail safe). If Tatia died it makes no sense for dopelgangers to be made for her sinse she is dead , therefore we must assume she is merely a clone of an earlier Petrova
However there is a problem if dopelgangers are the shadow dying reflections of an undying immortal that brings us to the crucial issue.Does that mean the Petrova who has her doppelgangers is still alive just as Silas is? If that is so she cannot be Silas' lover because we are told Silas' lover is dead...OR could we be in for a shock that Qetsia thought she is dead but Silas perhaps using magic or his immortal blood animated her in stasis to remain alive but dessicated himself in the process? Now while she may not be walking the earth maybe Silas will try to animate her fully...It would be interesting to explore that if that were his goal for season 5
COOL! I was thinking the same about the Petrova line. Tatia is not the progenitor like originally thought. It would make sense that the Originals would call her the Original Petrova...they also referred to their mother as the Original Witch...and she was not by any means the first witch, just as the Originals are not truly the first vampires.
Dang it, my finger slipped (new fake nails, damn them!) and I hit reply before I finished. But I think you are totally onto something, Lynx81 :)
Lynx81, you have a great understanding of all this, and if anyone else could chime in that would be great. I'm still a little confused on what the dopplegangers are really for... Are they there, so nature CAN kill them both if one dies?
Or does it mean that if one dies, nature will stop creating them?
I've watched all the way to the end of S4, but have NO clue really on this ordeal.
A reply or message to my email would be great if you can.
personally i think that Tatia is not the original but the doppelganger of the original's doppelganger, i also think that silas's lover is the original doppelganger and she is the first meaning Tatia is the third, Katherine the fourth and Elena the fifth doppelganger
That makes the most sense. I agree with TeamStelena21
koolzz thanks ^~^
I know the truth :D I figure it out
Stefan is Silases Doppleganger
Damons is Doppleganger of Silases immortal brother
Elena and Katherine are Dopplegangers of the Original Doppleganger that Silas and his brother loved
It cant be otherwise...Katherine,Elena and Tatia are always caught between 2 brothers...The Original love triangle...
^^ That's RIDICULOUS.
Stefan is a doppleganger, a copy of Silas, so he could have a shadow self that could die for him. THe thing is silas was a warlock, so it makes sense that his descendants would have magic. I bet that if stefan died permanently, then silas would as well, unless he had an unknown descendant out there.
Elena and katherine are shadow selfs, so it makes me wonder, of who. My bet is Silas's immortal lover. That is why petrova blood was needed to make the vampire spell. BUt if the spell is so similar, then the originals would need a shadow self, and they had no children. I suppose the men might have had unknown children, but rebecca would not have allowed to have children out of wed lock.
i was right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tatia is not the original doppelganger it was silas's lover!!!!!!!!!!!1
What do you think?
