I hate to be the bearer of bad news to ya, but I can pretty much sumarize this whole post. First off kitsunes MOST LIKELY DO NOT exist in tvd. They are foxes, so they wouldnt have all these powers like they do in the books. Okay as ive explained dozens of times to people that the shows mythology is different and reality based than the books mythology. The books mythology can take you anywhere with storylines whereas the shows is a reality based story so you can pretty much predict which way the mythology will turn out. As for the origins of wolves and witches, its like this. Witches have obviously existed since nature began thus why they are called natures servants. They draw their power from nature or in cases from witch spirits or human sacrifices. Werewolves on the other hand...u know people keep debating their origins but at this point is so simple and obvious. A witch obviously took a human(s) and the ingredients involved a wolf, the full moon, wolfbane, and they had to activate the wolf by killing someone. Its that simple, so sorry to burst your bubble but im just stating what most likely went down
^That's the best explaination I've read so far about this. It makes sense because Werewolf-moon/wolfspain and Vampire-sun/vervain. Also, I think immortal psychics such as Silas and/or Nadia replace Kitsune seeing as their powers are quite similar.
^You do realize that since Nadia displayed vampiric and witch abilities a lot of the show's mythology has been thrown out the window right? Also until both shows end there will always be room to introduce the kitsune though they would probably do better on The Originals.
Also if you knew the kitsune mythology you'd realize that they are not just foxes but they are like GODS. That being said it doesn't make since to keep sticking with Werewolves, Vampires, and Witches if they kept that up it would get boring and predictable.
well im pretty sure nadia is probably a being who is possessing another being thus why she is able to be both vampire and witch, like esther possessing rebekah. Plus silas said she had unfinished business, a relative term for ghosts and bonnie did open the veil letting out ghosts. And the mythology hasnt been thrown out the window, its still intact. And yeah im sure the kitsunes are gods but again their mythology wouldnt work in the shows, it just wouldnt, for something like Supernatural(Dean and Sam), it would work.
@MrAnonymous, Yes, you also make a very good point and I do agree that Kitsune (if introduced) would go better with TO. With Originals as the main protagonist, we're going to need villians who can go toe to toe with them. Davina's one example, though it's pretty obvious she'll become an ally eventually. Sticking with just 3 supernaturals does make it a little stale which is why I'm hoping we can get deeper into hybrids like Witch/werewolf but also brand new species all together.
Thanks Tobi I do hope Shinichi and Misao become the antagonists of TO I mean they could do magic and transform at will that would give Klaus a run for his money. I deally I think the Kitsune would be like Peter Pan from once upon a tme constantly insulting Klaus belittling him.
Tommy the idea of Nadia being a ghost is terrible if the mythology is still intact as you say then as result she'd still wouldn't be able to do magic. Esther didn't display any vampire abilities and she couldn't. Nadia is not a ghost she's something else and Silas talking about unfinished buisness meant just that. I think she's Katherine's daughter personally.
If esther didnt display any vampiric abilities, then the dagger wouldnt have neutralized esther but in reality killed her true body, i mean we dont really have alot to go on from that since it was like two scenes she displayed anything with rebekahs body. I think nadia could be kats daughter but the reason i say that is cause people have been saying it on message boards and im not even gonna take in the element of suprise at this point if thats the case. However as to new creatures, joseph morgan himself said a new creature is coming which is the result of something from someones past that introduces a new family to be brought in. The two perfect examples of this are davinas/sophie past or hayleys past. So a 50/50 chance says tomorrow could see the intro of a new creature since it focuses on davina and sophies past. HOWEVER THIS "NEW" CREATURE could be just a subversion of a witch or werewolf.
How did Klaus get Esther's coffin anyway? Did he kill Ayana or did he just say, "hand it over...WITCH!"
its something that needs to be explained in the flashbacks. From my understanding. Esther was buried in the coffin that he and rebekah dug the hole to put into. Either before it was put in or after, ayanna did her spell. Klaus found out about this through unknown means, again something that needs to be explained.
What do you think?
