In the most recent episode, Katherine uses Elena's body as a passenger. Elena is a vampire, and therefore a supernatural being. Can a Traveler take over a supernatural being? I was under the impression that they can only take over humans. Also, when the travelers first appeared, they were looking for Katherine to kill her. Is that no longer their plan? Were they looking for Katherine because her daughter Nadia was searching for her? Are are the travelers still wanting Katherine dead and Nadia is straying from their purpose for her own gain (to reunite with her mother)??
You have brought up some very good questions and I have been thinking the same thing. Also, Nadia was going to use her body for Katherine to possess and she is also a vampire and not human. I wonder what is the "deal" regarding Katherine and the Travelers and why do they want to kill her in the first place. Katherine has been around for over 500 years and given her track record for selfishness and doing her own thing for survival, I would not be surprised that they were looking to kill her because maybe she killed one of their members. She also knew that they were searching for her as well as Klaus. Katherine is always trying to stay steps ahead of those who want to harm her and she did it very well as a human. I just hope that in the upcoming episodes that she survives but maybe the Travelers can rejuvenate her body (which is what Tessa promised her but refused to do as punishment because she is a doppleganger and looks like Amara, her enemy. I believe that the Travelers have that capability. That is why they are looking for her body in the spoilers for the next episode. Elena is sharing her body with Katherine.
