In the most recent episode, Katherine uses Elena's body as a passenger. Elena is a vampire, and therefore a supernatural being. Can a Traveler take over a supernatural being? I was under the impression that they can only take over humans. Also, when the travelers first appeared, they were looking for Katherine to kill her. Is that no longer their plan? Were they looking for Katherine because her daughter Nadia was searching for her? Are are the travelers still wanting Katherine dead and Nadia is straying from their purpose for her own gain (to reunite with her mother)??

You have brought up some very good questions and I have been thinking the same thing. Also, Nadia was going to use her body for Katherine to possess and she is also a vampire and not human. I wonder what is the "deal" regarding Katherine and the Travelers and why do they want to kill her in the first place. Katherine has been around for over 500 years and given her track record for selfishness and doing her own thing for survival, I would not be surprised that they were looking to kill her because maybe she killed one of their members. She also knew that they were searching for her as well as Klaus. Katherine is always trying to stay steps ahead of those who want to harm her and she did it very well as a human. I just hope that in the upcoming episodes that she survives but maybe the Travelers can rejuvenate her body (which is what Tessa promised her but refused to do as punishment because she is a doppleganger and looks like Amara, her enemy. I believe that the Travelers have that capability. That is why they are looking for her body in the spoilers for the next episode. Elena is sharing her body with Katherine.
Well, some answers we can only get in due time. But the answer to one of your questions, about if Traveler can take over supernatural beings. Apparently they can since Katherine has successfully transfered herself to Elena using Traveler magic. It may be because they are doppelgangers, which made the spell possible despite vampirism. Maybe it won't work with other vampires. One thing I can say it that Katherine was most likely right when she said Travellers are ruthless manipulative hypocrites. Tessa said they are not fans of immortality, yet they practice magive to allow them live on in other people after death, isn't that just hypocritical?
You have asked some really good questions, the past two comments have Sort of answers some. As for the question of why the travellers don't want to kill Katherine now, this is because when Elena forced Katherine to take the cure it meant that the cure was running through her veins, any vampire that drank her blood could then become human again. The travellers wanted to capture Katherine with the intent of making vampires drink from her and eventually 'wiping' out the vampire race.
The travellers have had no obvious goal throughout the series so far. Julie apparently said there would be a figure head to that group soon and some intentions made clear. They wanted Silas not dead yet when he was searching for the anchor, they wanted kat for years and then seemed to help Nadia they wanted doppelgänger blood but for no idea what - bring Silas and Amara back or create a new set or make more cure for all the vamps they hate? Anyway Sloan seems to have presented as head of the traveller faction at the lead in the Wes experiments protection detail and willing to fund him so obviously is high enough up to do that. She may be 2nd in command and there is one above her yet to be revealed. Tessa seemed to think they wanted the cure at all costs and at the time they didn't want Silas dead it was when here was carrying it. They didn't know it moved from kat to Silas to Amara and then they seem to change goals as Kay wS right there and they did nothing, now she is in Elena they have helped put her there do the need something she knows? Why help Nadia and kat the payment Amy was going to ask for we never found out but she can't have been the only one knew where she was and what she was doing so is that what set Sloan on route to whitmore? All sorts of ideas falling about but really the awful torturous truth is - we will have to wait and see. Lol
What do you think?
