After watching the latest episode of the Originals I feel like Mikael truly was motivated to kill Klaus because he was a bastard. I mean when they were alone Mikael never even mentioned Esther all he could talk about was destroying Klaus and how they weren't really family even mentioning Klaus's real dad. Yet he never once mentioned Esther in my opinion Mikael was just using Esther as an excuse.
One thing though I am certain of Mikael really is the monster that monsters fear I mean he was in town for a week and he raised hell on a level that I didn't think was possible not to mention his cruelty to his own children.
I mean he's a text book abuser his talk with Rebeckah in VD proves that (he shows remorse then he goes abusive again after a while) to paraphrase Dean Winchester Mikael is the same brand of cockroach as any other abusive parent only bigger the only difference between Mikael and other abusers is the size of his ego.
And with Celeste dead and Klaus rebuilding what he lost I think Mikael will return because Klaus will have more to fight for and I keep getting the feeling that history will repeat itself.
^ Even if Mikael would have tried to kill Klaus back then no one would have allowed him...everyone (Miakelsons) blames Mikael for Klaus's current attitude.....Mikael started hunting Klaus when Klaus had killed Esther and blamed the murder on Mikael
Who exactly could have stopped Mikael...?
They never stopped him when they were Human, and you saw how big they failed when Mikael came to NO.
After watching the previous (AMAZING) episode, i want mikael to return. He would be the wildcard no one ever saw coming. i mean they are startled about the other side, but they wouldnt think twice (we'll se). We have humans vs werewolves vs vampires vs witches, we have the safety of the baby, we have klaus vs marcel, elijah vs jackson over hayler(i see this coming), elijah vs klaus over hayley(this is coming), we have davina vs monique (not sure). We have so much conflicts that no one would expect the strongest vampire(except Silas/immortal idk) to return and take it all.
Ik Mikael was a douche and all, but for anyone that watched his shortlived appearance on TVD, they know he could do better.
I don't hate Klaus, i hate the weak villians he's been facing, he needs a challenge, and an opportunity to bury his demons and change in order to be the father of his impending baby(HOPEFULLY).
My favorite quote from Marcel says it best: "You don't know them like I do. They're half-turned against each other already. Drama, pride, guilt, envy, all built up like a powder keg. All you have to do is light a match." - The Big Uneasy 1 x 18
I also want Mikael to return, partly because Sebastian Roché is an excellent actor. I hope though that they lose the invulnerable white oak stake to spice things up because that would mean that Mikael has to make up a plan to sabotage Klaus's life and not just kill him, preferably making him a regular in season 2 (is it ordered yet?). We already know they can't kill either Klaus or Elijah, only possible during an abrupt cancellation of the show. Hayley might be in danger but if the writers want to keep the baby then she's safe until she's born.
I would love for Mikael to come back because I, for one, absolutely hate Klaus. Can't stand him and his "boohoos" regarding his father and how it made him into a horrible person. Yes, it is true that Mikael's behavior did play a major role in shaping who Klaus is today, but in the end, all those decisions were on Klaus, not anyone else. I would love to have a villain come back that even the Originals are afraid of.
Plus, with only Klaus and Elijah left out of the family on the show, they could use Mikael, and hopefully Esther to keep some meaning behind the name of the show.
Mikael should definitely come back.....he is the ultimate villain of TO....i think this time they might bring him to (try) kill Klaus's child
@Abyssal Prince: I don't think Klaus is a cry baby....Klaus might have wrong way of handling things but he does have every right to blame Mikael for making him what he is today.....whenever Klaus was close to happiness it was ruined by Mikael in some way or the other.....Klaus never got a chance to know his real father and his own mother, who was responsible for bringing him in this world and watching Mikael abuse him more than others, turned her back on him.....Esther had no right to do what she did....if she had a doubt of Klaus's paternal genes then she could very well have aborted that pregnancy but she went on with it and even raised Klaus with her own family instead of giving him up to his biological father.....she made a decision so she should have stood with it properly specially when it consists of her own child's life and future
Mikael seem to have no fatherly instincts in him......granted that he had pride issues and he was not able to get over the fact that Klaus was not his son and his wife cheated him but how could he seriosuly just give up his 23-24 yrs of fatherly love for Klaus (if he had any) upon knowing one truth?.....Klaus seems to be much better father in that case....it's his fatherly love for Marcel that stops him from ripping his (Marcel's) heart out
Klaus was betrayed by two most important people of his life and he was literally haunted by them so i think he has got a good excuse for all the complains
Michael would be good at this point, but I would only like to see him back if at the least Kol or Finn return. This time, perhaps Finn will have a change of heart snce his father is there, trying to kill him...but more importantly hopefully the baby REALLY chnages his outlook on the family. I'd love to even get them both, but the fact that we've seen Kol (and NOT Finn) on TVD may mean that Kol just may return, who knows.
Thus keeping Michael in check and letting the family that used to run from their ass of a father, finally stand united as one to kill him on their HOME ground, and just perhaps they can unite New Orleans behind a common enemy. The one thing that people WILL get behind, time after time...
Who knows, depending on what Michael does when he appears (like slaughtering witches the moment he manifests) he just may stop the stupid fight between Klaus and Marcel, the werewolves may even stop their internal rift (as Michael surely hates those "beasts"), as Michael more than likely forces the witches to be on his side by promising to get rid of his family AND the baby. So in the end, the witches may go out with a bang, when the entire city goes after them and Michael.
I imagine Davina will help summon him, realize what a horrible mistake she has made, and switch sides (probably going back to Klaus, maybe learning a new type of magic like spirit or expression and telling the ancestral side of things to screw off).
I doubt Finn could get a chance of heart, he seemed to loathe being a vampire and considering Sage is dead as well without her it seems redundant at the very least. Kol should definitely get back though, perhaps he will "sneak out" from the other side just before it implodes or disappear, making it a possibility for him to at least show up as a guest star in TO.
Well Esther was dead, Klaus killed her when he found out about her putting the curse on him or whatever. Can't kill someone who is already dead.
What do you think?
