The show pretty much implied in the last five minutes of that episode that Kat was dragged to hell especially with the church and the cross. It also revealed that there is someone who decides if Supernatural's can reside in the Other Side. Which makes you wonder who is it? I mean is it God or a demon Tessa might have made a deal with to create the other side? And yes I am getting this demon ruling The Other Side idea because of Moloch from Sleepy Hollow for those of you that don't know Moloch rules purgatory in SH and he decides whether souls can leave and if so where to.
This is a very interesting developement I think. I mean if someone does rule The Other Side then clearly they have there own set of morals and Kat clearly did not fit them. Also could this mean Jenna is in hell if she's not on the other side?
....I can't say I've noticed....cos I don't notice such things.....and nor does the rest of the world (generally) :-\
All I see is that couples break up, for all sorts of reasons....
I mean I can't say I do or don't agree because I don't really get that deep in color strides but I don't they should be the endgame because I don't Jermey as Bonnie's man.
Did they say anything if they are just going to leave it like that to have an excuse to leave Katherine "dead dead" so to speak or do they plan to explain what it is? For an important character such as Katherine it would be unwise to leave her departure of the story in such a plot hole, litterally speaking.
I liked the expression of Bonnie when she realized something was wrong, implying this could have happened before and the line "it's not up to me" that someone or something wanted Katherine to end up in that dark world.
Also if TV's history on interacial couple is any indication Liv will break up Beremy personally I keep getting the lesbian vibe from her though.
Well even thoe Tessa is bat shit crazy i's not really up to her what gets baance in nature or not, it's u to the spirits,Their's an opposite to evrything, which would include theother side, it seems like the other side is heaven, so their's needs to be a hell version, Katherine's not in Hell she's just in that darker side. notice the dark characters u haven't seen their ghosts since bonnie dropped the veil, but u have seen good charcters like Lexi, Ana, Vicki, Alaric, Rose so that goes without saying that most likely Esther and Mikael and Kol and Silas and now Katherine are in that hellish other side
I just realized something Katherine's a Doppelganger and Tessa hates Amara and all her Doppelgangers and she created the other side, and think it was her who barred Katherine's entrance
I don't think so, she made a joke about Katherine's life span right after she killed herself. All she wanted was Silas to love her and I guess revenge against Silas which she got. It's more like another force here is at work (e.g nature) that took control of Katherine's fate rather than someone stopped her from entering and then had to go somewhere else, at least that's what I think.
Kat is Dead. Dead as a doornail, in hell, never to return. No popping back no plotlines just gone.
We accepted that there was an 'other side' and that some of the characters like Anna and Pearl could find 'Peace' and move past that to somewhere better. Now the somewhere beyond the veil has never been explained and this was the first time we see an indication that there is a scale of judgement in the afterlife and not just dead and in the other side or past that and in what we can only assume as heaven.
But if there is one there is by cause and effect the alternative as well. So if we believe that some are still hanging about in the 'Other Side' like Alaric, Lexi and Vicki so they can watch and keep an eye on those they care about but that others like Jenna, Anna and Pearl found peace and moved on then we are accepting there is a system.
Who or what that system is is for the moment personal view, until we are given more to apply in the context of the world of TVD.
I knew hope was that the travellers had stopped Kat from going to the other side and had her spirit trapped somewhere as they still needed it. But Julie Plec has confirmed that Kat is no more. So we are going to have to let go and know that she won't be popping up again and sticking a spanner in the works.
The next few episodes will maybe give us more that can define the expanding tvd universe and maybe if there is a heaven that our lost and loved characters have gone there should be an opposite for those others who are truly unredeemable.
The debate now is who is in danger of the same fate as Kat and can that be changed?
How much redemption must be made to make up for previous acts?
Even if your soul is good but you have done terrible things would you still go to the other side?
Who out of the current group could be looking at a one way trip to join Katerina?
I hope they leave whatever happened to Katherine alone and not introduce some stupid karma system, that will definitely ruin the show for me.

What do you think?
