Alright, the end is neigh. That means we're going to have to make a few changes to clean this place up soon. One of those changes I would like to inquire about is our decision to allow anonymous contributors to edit here.
If I'm not mistaken, last year or so, Fandom Staff passed administrators the ability to decide whether AWC should be able to edit, comment etc on a wiki. The main reason is the mass number of articles that are protected on wiki's just to stop AWC editing; TVD&TO Wiki is one of those communities that locks all of its articles to prevent editing by AWC. The feature was never intended to be abused in such a way, it was to stop vandalism etc on certain articles. If I recall correctly, Staff do not promote protecting all articles on Fandom communities.
Given the above reason, I'm also bringing this question forward due to the fact that TO is near the end of it's lifespan. I've been a member of "Fandom" (then wikia) long enough to know that when a show ends, all the contributors move on and the place becomes desolate, leaving only spam in comments, threads etc. Given this, I think it's better to avoid such things by turning off AWC before they can spam etc.
Furthermore, this would encourage people to create an account, maybe even add content to the help needed articles. Or simply just to comment. However, some may not create an account, leading to further deterioration in wiki numbers.
Just wanted to gather the thoughts of the community upon the matter. We will not be moving forward with the idea if the community does not agree.
