To this day im still torn about sybil, she was one of the best and yet somehow worst aspects of season 8, vampire diaries final season and the villian they hyped as the best villian ever which is funny cause not only did she fail on said hype but she didnt even make it to the finale, apparently they thought katherine failing yet again, being killed by stefan yet again was more important to show than sybils progression. But that aside, im also dissapointed they never i guess fully delivered on their promise in showing what she looked like when she became desicated, she became a creature of sorts and all we saw was her hands, yes we did see later on a sort of form of zombie so we kinda got what we were promised, just not with her or seline. Now I didnt notice this till later but sybil was foreshadowed before she even shown up, she was seen in bonnies dream thing when she was under the influence of the huntress and in alarics presentation on vampires, a still picture of a siren, possibly sybil was seen with her rotting hands with her face all bandaged up like a mummy. I will admit, it was a clever easter egg and im impressed it was put in, but i still have an issue, how exactly would bonnie have dreamt of it? Keep in mind only two sirens were made, sybil and seline and by the time they got trapped and started rotting, the camera might not have been made, maybe an artists rendition I suppose, I mean you could argue it could have been seline in that photo. But it comes up as the issue of the sirens not being the true traditional vampires, and why were they even in the dream?, the dream turned out to be false so I still dont get it, the easter egg was clever yes but why it was there was not so clever. I mean when mg had that dream of gorilla grodd and ghostface in his dreams, that was a nice easteregg but the one of whatever siren that is, i dont get it at all to this day.
