New Founder's Council?

I read on the Spoilers page for Legacies that there's supposed to be a new founder's council in S2 of Legacies does this mean there's gonna be a new.

-Fell

-Forbes

-Gilbert

-Lockwood

And Salvatore

Council members?

In S2 of Legacies. Since they are the founding families? and aren't most of the members of the Lockwood and Salvatore's dead? last time I checked the only living founding families left is the Fell family and Forbes family..

I think Fell is the only founding family left unless the rest had distant relatives we didn’t know about. I didn’t even think about this.

/\ That's what I was thinking because most of the founding families died off in TVD so unless there was some relatives they did not show On-screen or the new founders council will compose mostly of distant relatives to the founding families

Well during the tv line interview, Julie Plec said there may be other Lockwoods, Gilberts, and Fells out there.

Damon, Matt and Jeremy are still alive so the are probably part of it.

@HereticEnhanced Ya I do remember one Episode where Caroline mentioned a girl's name Gracie Lockwood in a Miss Mystic Falls Episode but then I remember Alaric stating in Episode that the Lockwood line ended with Tyler which is confusing since a person named Jeffrey-Lockwood-Hamilton was also mentioned

Bennett (also Donovan/Maxwell) are not (recognized) Founders. Beyond Jonathan (Elena and Jeremy) Gilbert, we've not been told of any other Gilbert members; likewise with Forbes. Lockwood and Salvatore are all deceased (save for Damon). That leaves Fell which we do have some still leaving and were minor characters.

The founding families have long been established, They're unlikely into introduce new members from each or even multiple in present time except for, likely, Fell, which is what is being speculated for the new Sheriff and her kids.

There can’t be any more Lockwoods as int the originals season 4 we learn from Freya that the last Lockwood Alice was Tyler and he was killed off in season 8 of TVD by Damon Salvatore

^Yes, there was Pastor Young who was on the Town Council (that killed the other members) as well as other families, though the context of the OP was geared towards the founding family members on the (original) Founder's Council. Anyone with the purview of what goes bump in the night in Mystic Falls could potentially be on the (rebranded Town) Council. Specifically as far as April is concern, I don't believe she was aware because Jeremy/Matt kept her in the dark about vampires, etc.

After Pastor Young's massacre, both what was known as the Founder's Council and Town Council have became defunct organizations. Bringing this back in context of Legacies, it will likely reestablish the Founder's Council with the Fells
