If he were Malivore then where would the monsters be coming from? And at this point we know that Malivore wants something which I think is either Hope or Landon so if he were Malivore he also would have made a move on one of them. I think he could be a Ghoul like those who said it before me. It would make sense as to how he can take human form since ghouls are shapeshifters but I also don't understand how he also has magic. My prediction is that he might be some sort of siphoner and that when he eats the corpses he gains magic from them (he siphones). I mean if he were a siphoner it could explain his interest for turning Josie Dark. But that's just a guess.

Since he practices magic, I’d go with witch who eats corpses to gain their energy because I’ve never seen a witch-something else hybrid apart from the obvious. It could be a new type of magic where witches consume corpses to augment their natural power. May be called Cannibalistic Magic.

Neha Pathman ever thought maybe Malivore is letting these creatures go and telling them to go after Landon or Hope. He want's Hope destroyed and He want's to take over Landon's body. So he let's these creatures loose to go after Landon or Hope and when they fail to do so die as a result, then he just eats them to put them back in his body. Maybe when they go back into Malivore they come back to life or maybe he gains power from it. All I know is the only way we saw Malivore consume these creatures was when it was the pit. They never really showed us how he consumed them when he was a golum. So maybe right now he's pretending to be a human to get more info about Landon and the school. Or Maybe it's one of Malivore's sons or maybe he created him.

I think these are all good theories. And they did say that the Malivore pit was destroyed, even if Malivore itself didn't actually die, so maybe it did finally take a human form somehow? Clarke said Hope altered it, maybe her DNA gave it a way to take a humanoid shape? Plus, Malivore would be dumb to put all his eggs in the Clarke basket, considering how many times he's double-crossed him in the past. I could see him letting him out to see if he could do it but also sending other monsters as a contingency plan to get Hope and Landon.

Then again, the cannibalistic magic thing would be an interesting twist, too. It's a very different way to gain power but also similar enough to sacrificial magic that it could work. Or maybe he really is some type of monster? I can't get a read on this guy!
