Approximately how fast can a vampire run if you count with Usain bolts top speed of 28 mph (44 kmh)

It would depend on how old the vampire is. A newborn is probably twice if not three times as fast.

Even newborn vampires become blurry when they run at top speed, which means the initial vampire top speed is about 200 mph (320 km/h). And, of course, they grow faster with age.

^ I doubt any vamp is that fast in TVD. I think they are just good at reaching their top speed in no time. Lexi once said(granted jokingly) that she would bail under sixty in the episode 162 candles. 😎

The "blurring" is of a human perspective. If they become blur to humans, this means they move in at least 200mph, which means they are, initially, about ten times faster than they were as human (the avarage top human runnung speed is about 20 mph). The speed in which an object, or a creature, becomes blurry to human eyesight is a scientific fact. This is not about your own preference or belief.

Agreed, the blur is a human perceptive. But just because they are a blur doesn't necessarily mean they are traveling at or up to 200 mph. Heck Bolt would look like a blur from the corner of a persons eye when at top speed. So would a car. My belief is that vamps are just good at going zero to whatever top speed their age allows at the time in fractions of the seconds it would take a normal person or car.

Why do you consider it just my belief when I also included a Canon fact to go with it?
