I don't really know... it seems like a show that doesn't take itself seriously. And the moment Santa Claus appeared... I think it went downhill for good.

Well, he did kill Krampus with his bare hands, which was cool. This also goes by the original incarnation of Santa Claus:

According to the original stories, Santa Claus, originally known as Saint Claus, was a warrior that fend off monsters all nights of the year, except during the one night that is so dark (the longest night at each year, which is today known as Christmas), that no monster dared come out in it. In this one night, he took a break and went visiting whatever village or town that was near, and, as they were excited that such a great hero is visiting them, they pulled up a feast and gave him presents. Over the centuries, the numbers of monsters in the world was reduced, and he was no longer required. At that point, he decided to repay the people, who always hosted him, and give them presents, just like they once gave him.

Well, at least this is the original story. Clearly, the producers went by it, as this Santa is defianetly a warrior, and also it is likely that, in-universe, the decrease in the number of monsters in the world was the result of Malivore's activity.

I absolutely adore legacies. The Santa episode was epic.

At least kill off a main character (I personally think Ric time is coming to an end). Permanently.
