That’s the thing. The main reason Tyler kidnapped Hayley and took hope’s blood was to see if they needed petrova blood or not.when he found out they didn’t he accused Klaus of only wanting the baby to make hybrids.

And the reason Hope doesn’t need Petrova blood is because Hope wasn’t cursed/prevented like klaus was. Because Klaus had his hybrid side locked away by Esther (his mom) and Esther was the one who made it that he needed petrova blood to make hybrids so if his hybrid side wasn’t locked away he wouldn’t need petrova blood as well. otherwise he wouldn’t. And since Hope is another person the petrova blood thing doesn’t apply for her to make hybrids. (Also this is kinda confusing to understand, so sorry)

But if Hope is turning someone into a hybrid they still need human blood after they die.
