Regarding a season 3 regulars reboot

I don't know if this will happen but me personally because I'm not sure they can add more to the cast with what they have, I mean they have 8 series regulars but id definitely take out Alaric, Kaleb and id keep Aria but no longer as Landon. Whom I'd add is Vardemus, Jade and Malivore (played by Aria) and keep the rest for the time being. I'm not going to add people like Damon, Caroline, unrealistic ones, I'm adding ones they currently can add in.

Exactly. Instead of bringing up the old characters from the previous shows becomes quite monotonous. I'd really love Aria to play a double role as Landon and Malivore. But @Tommy,Klaus&Kol2012+ I don't think removing Alaric would be a good idea.......He plays a vital role.

Tbf I think Alaric is vital at the moment I do think they should kill him off in future though

He is the headmaster and has relationships with the main kid if Caroline was to just replace him it would be weird. And before this turn into a massive debate, it's more of my opinion then fact
