Elena deserved better

So at the end of season six we all know that Elena is put into a sleeping coma but it wasn’t her fault it was Lily’s fault for being so selfish and wanting her family back and Kai was just as bad his family put him in that prison world for a reason also Elena lost her parents and most of her family she died and came back to life many times and she still kept on going she never gave up and she didn’t deserve to be put in that coma.

Nina Dobrev didn’t want to be in the show anymore so I see the comma was the best solution than killing Elena which will be so bad

Idk i do not see it as something that bad since at least in the coma she did not suffer or realize it, and yeah she lost 4 years of his life but at least perhaps suffering or even his death would be avoided if he had not been in a coma for that time, and at the end she have a happy life with Damon so.

i mean u r right about some of the stuff and i really don't get why she gets so much hate but she really was a bit annoying sometimes. still she deserved better

She gets hate because she had alot of undesirable traits but never truly got punished or even called out for it. While I don't like her in the later seasons, I agree that the Coma was a bit much. They could've had her leave and travel the world to understand herself or something. The only good thing that came from it is that other characters got to shine because of it and get the screen time and character arc they deserved

The coma was perfect tbh, Kai's final act for revenge. Regardless, the show should have ended with S6. It's funny that they explored the show under different circumstances for one season and after that half the cast wanted to be done and were forced to do a shortened season to end it. I don't think the 2 more seasons offered anything substantial to the story, and low-key ruined the show's arc.
