Elena's Life Linked to Bonnie or Stefan?

There's a theory that Kai actually linked Elena's life to Stefan's because he knew Stefan was the one person Damon would never kill. Plus, after Stefan died he was able to have one last conversation with Elena, afterwards resulting in her waking. Could this mean that her life was never rlly linked to Bonnie's?

No Elena's life was linked to Bonnie. I don't know why people keep trying to make that theory happen. Besides the fact we get the scene of Bonnie casting a spell to wake Elena the theory falls apart because prior to the hellfire scene Stefan had already died twice once from the Phoenix sword and again when when Damon killed him in S8 of which neither time Elena woke up.
