Cover ups | Fandom

There have been numerous cover-ups throughout TVD and TO, but there are two events that keep coming back to me:

The Travelers causing over 2 dozen people to kill themselves in broad daylight in the middle of town and when Kai killed the entire Gemini Coven and all their bodies were left in the barn.

Does anyone know how the Mystic Falls Gang came up with believable cover ups for these events?

The town council, people’s ignorance, or vamp compulsion. It falls to one or two of those reasons. No one should have known about the Kai killing the Gemini coven(people’s ignorance). So it was easy to cover up. As for those that died do to the travelers, they probably got compelled after they were asked to leave town. 😎

As far as the travelers it would simply been seen as a mass suicide that they more than likely classified as done by a radical group of people. Mind you Liz was still sheriff and she could have easily dealt with that without compulsion.

With the Gemini more than likely they were just buried as no one really would be looking.
