Secondly, what are you talking about. Is this something missing and pertinent to the article and if so, when was it stated in season one, i.e. what episode or the context of the statement, etc. Thanks.

In Vampire Diaries, “Family Ties” 1x04 Stefan tells Zach, “vervain hasnt grown here since 1865 Damon made sure of it.” That is missing from Damon Salvatore’s Fandom article, 1865- Damon made sure vervain never grew again in Mystic Falls, unaware that his family has been growing it for years.

Unimportant. We have no context of why or how Damon prevented it from growing, based on what Stefan knows (or in this case, doesn't know) because Zach's following statement is that he's going it, so it doesn't really matter.
