If Kai used it to kill Damon, I see no reason why it can't drain an Original dry of their magic. Granted, it would take a small group to handle it without any of them dying, but I still think it can be done.

Well on this lore it being 50/50 but we were told an original is made of endless energy therefore a siphoner could never stop siphoning

I personally believe a Siphoner can and would kill an Original if they siphoned all their power. But it's never been shown so it's speculation on our part. Plus, some fans think that the originals are an endless source due to what happened to Rebekah when she was used as a Sacrifice in Papa tunde spell. They might be on to something with this.

I think Siphonners can't kill an Original. Why ? Because back in Season 1 of TO, they've been through something similar with Papa Tunde.

His Black Magic could absorb the power of any being till they die,( severals vampires of Marcel's army) but Rebekah couldn't die no matter how much Papa Tunde absorbed her power.

So I guess it would be the same thing with Siphonning. And by admitting an Original could die that way, I think it would require a lot of Siphonner. Originals are practically an endless source of magic and we saw that Siphonning too much power can kill Siphons / hybrids.

@Tommy - It doesn’t really work like that though. As channeling is a very precise process were one can’t really accidentally drain someone to death. Same with giving blood, you can’t accidentally drain someone of all their blood unless is intentional.

@Nik - The thing with that though is that he had to kill his victims first in order to get power from them. An Original can’t be killed by regular means so it’s only natural that they would keep reviving.

@Niklaus972 Actually we never saw a siphoner or hybrids having problem with that, I think most of the fans misunderstood Mary Louise and Nora final moments, they died because of the explosion of the Phoenix stone (which was caused by the spell they casted) not because they siphoned it, Mary Louise warned Nora that because of her state she won't survive if she siphon it, but it was because she was already pretty weak and dying due to her being poisoned by Rayna's blood.

Kai siphoned a spell made by hundreds of travelers, a spell that covered an entire town, and he didn't seem to have any problems by having too much magic... so I almost sure siphoning an Original won't be too much for an Heretic or a siphoner.... but I can't say either an original can die of this way due to what happened with Rebekah and papa Tunde (Although logic tells if you remove (siphon) magic what keep you alive, or magic that make you an original you should die)
