@Sean 175 Hope is actually greater than an Original because unlike every other vampire she didn't have to ingest vampire or doppelganger blood death transitioning. She was actually born with her vampire powers as part of her DNA. Plus the white oak ash don't work on her. And unlike normal hybrids Hope can actually create more hybrids that are sire bonded to her. She did this in the Originals when Tyler used her blood to turn a werewolf into a hybrid. That werewolf was then sired bonded to her. She did it again in season five of the originals when she turned Henry into a hybrid. And now most recently her blood turned Lizzie into a heretic and she's now sired to Hope.

Rules in TVDU always changing. Klaus was Original Hybrid even though he was Original Vampire before his curse, so why we can't call Hope Original Tribrid due her abilities (compelling vampires, siring hybrids, cannot be killed by anything except for special tree as it is with original). Regular hybrids can't do that, only Original Hybrid could (aka Klaus).

I MAY will agree that we cant call her Original vampire, but we definitely can call her Original Tribrid because she wasnt turned to be one, she was born like that, like The Originals became like that after spell. Idk, I think its obviously we can't her regular since she possess all perks that Originals have.

@Charcoal422 yes abilities wise she is greater. But if she is better than an Original in your eyes then there is no point in calling or relating her to an Original then. But Josie said it best Hope is practically an Original as in almost. But she isn’t, her Tribridness just makes her unique and more powerful compared to if she had just been a regular hybrid. Her being Klaus daughter has nothing to do with it. Her vamp side was never even said or seen to be in the same league as original.

@Ghosterbiter except this rule though hasn’t been changed or modified in the slightest. Klaus was called the Original hybrid because he was part Original. I’m not saying Hope isn’t unique or that her abilities isn’t greater than regular hybrids. I’m simply pointing out that its all because she simply a Tribrid.

Calling her the Original Tribrid is just going to cause confusion. Because both in and outside the show the term Original is reserved for vampires turned by Esther’s spell. It’s best to simply stick to Tribrid.

She is stronger than usual vampires and she can compel vampire and can be killed only by red oak stake (as white for originals) its same league as original, as a vampire of course.

But since like you said since she is more stronger than Original (due her werewolf and witch side) that mean its not really Original anymore... So you have something in your words. She is not regular vampire/witch/werewolf/hybrid and we can't call her regular vampire/werewolf or witch, but maybe and not Original, just something entirely different.

Hope vampire side is not special though by itself. Only with her witch and werewolf side combined with it can Hope compel other vampires. Without those two other sides she’s just a regular vampire.

@Sean 175 if by regular vampire you mean a vampire that was born with vampire blood as part of her DNA and not made into one by either ingesting vampire blood or through a spell using doppelganger blood then yeah sure she'll be a regular vampire. Hope's very birth is goes against nature so to call her a regular vampire will be like calling Klaus a regular hybrid even though it's been stated throughout tvd and the originals that Klaus is the original hybrid.

@Charcoal422 Hope got her vamp powers from another vampire who happened to be her father. Similar to how other Vampires got their vamp powers from another vamp. The methods were a bit different but the results remain the same. Hope is part vampire because of another vampire. Dark Josie even noted that Hope was close to being an Original(but wasn’t one). The writers (as far as I know) and show have never said or hinted that her vamp side is particularly special. The only side that was ever pointed out to be significant is her Witch side.

@Sean 175 if you're going to quote dark Josie than you should use her actual words. She said that Hope was basically an Original. Dark Josie said that even she doesn't have the kind of power required to turn Hope's humanity back on because she's basically an Original. Just like how Jeremy said that Alaric was basically an Original in TVD season six. And Jeremy has met and even killed an Original before so he should know what he's talking about. The same term was used for both Hope and Alaric. Now are you going to argue that Alaric was not at one point in time an Original vampire? They even mentioned him being made into a vampire by Esther in 4x04 of Legacies. God it's like you just really hate the fact that Hope is an Original for some reason.

@Charcoal422 Alaric was Original because he was made by Esther's spell. That's the only reason why there discussion between Original/non-original, requirement of becoming one by Esther's spell.

Let's just for argument's sake say that Hope is in fact not an Original. Okay then why did they spend so much time telling us that only the red oak tree can kill her. If Hope was like any other hybrid just with magic than it should very easy to kill her. Especially considering the fact that Stefan and Damon were killing hybrids left and right.

And yet they spent like five six episodes telling us how there's only one weapon that can kill her. So, if Hope is in fact not an Original than why would nature even feel the need to make a special weapon capable of killing her. Since she should be very easy to kill, right?
