@Charcoal422 Hope got her vamp powers from another vampire who happened to be her father. Similar to how other Vampires got their vamp powers from another vamp. The methods were a bit different but the results remain the same. Hope is part vampire because of another vampire. Dark Josie even noted that Hope was close to being an Original(but wasn’t one). The writers (as far as I know) and show have never said or hinted that her vamp side is particularly special. The only side that was ever pointed out to be significant is her Witch side.

@Sean 175 if you're going to quote dark Josie than you should use her actual words. She said that Hope was basically an Original. Dark Josie said that even she doesn't have the kind of power required to turn Hope's humanity back on because she's basically an Original. Just like how Jeremy said that Alaric was basically an Original in TVD season six. And Jeremy has met and even killed an Original before so he should know what he's talking about. The same term was used for both Hope and Alaric. Now are you going to argue that Alaric was not at one point in time an Original vampire? They even mentioned him being made into a vampire by Esther in 4x04 of Legacies. God it's like you just really hate the fact that Hope is an Original for some reason.

@Charcoal422 Alaric was Original because he was made by Esther's spell. That's the only reason why there discussion between Original/non-original, requirement of becoming one by Esther's spell.

Let's just for argument's sake say that Hope is in fact not an Original. Okay then why did they spend so much time telling us that only the red oak tree can kill her. If Hope was like any other hybrid just with magic than it should very easy to kill her. Especially considering the fact that Stefan and Damon were killing hybrids left and right.

And yet they spent like five six episodes telling us how there's only one weapon that can kill her. So, if Hope is in fact not an Original than why would nature even feel the need to make a special weapon capable of killing her. Since she should be very easy to kill, right?

@Charcoal422 I agree with you, I just think TVDU rules changed when Hope was born. There were Originals only by Esther's spell, then Hope appeared and no one really knows in what category she's in.

@Charcoal422 You are right, Dark Josie said basically not practically. Ugh, can’t believe I missed heard that. Oh well, it still doesn’t change the fact that Hope is not an Original. Alaric actually has more claim to the Orginal title than Hope. As he was just made stronger and harder to kill compared to the Mikaelson children. Klaus,Marcel,Lucien,and Alaric are/were just unique in their Original status. Hope is a whole different being with power to rival or outperform an Original. So you are right to say she is in her own category. Being a Tribrid brings in its own strengths and Weaknesses just like being a Hybrid brings it’s own.

@Ghosterbiter IMO the rules haven’t changed. An original is one who has been turned by Esther’s spell. Hope being a Tribrid just boosters her up to a powerful status comparable to or greater an Original. But she is not an Original.

@Sean 175 Original were made, Hope was born (made) with vampire blood, not turned by someone, I think it's why she can be one, but I more inclined to think of her as entirely different species, The Original Tribrid or just The Tribrid.

@Ghosterbiter Species wise that’s why she isn’t an Original. An original is made through a spell. Hope wasn’t, she may have power and abilities comparable to an Original but that doesn’t make her an Original. It be like me calling Silas an Original vampire do to factors like him being immortal,needing blood to function, and that a spell turned him. But we know that species wise he is not.

this comparison of yours was completely meaningless, Hope came from an original and was generated by nature only this factor is potential to say that she is a "natural original" came from nature instead of the spell has the blood of the grandmother who created the original vampires and she is biological daughter of one, the only difference is that Hope is not the first vampire in the world, and no generated by Sther's spell that's obvious, now this comparison with Silas was ridiculous, you wanted to make a comparison as if Hope wasn't one vampire or something? because that's what it looked like, and the biggest factor was the oak, not even Marcel or Lucien has that weakness, and Hope has it and it's way superior to the originals because it's a red oak that kills her, not the white one by itself it just says she is a biological original, only a Mikaelson would have weaknesses coming from an oak.
