The Mikaelsons weren't connected a thousand years ago, and that's not why they can create new vampires. I don't know where you got this information from, but it is false. And if Esther used the same spell, with the only change being Elena's replacement of the White Oak, how does that affect Alaric's ability to generate new vampires? There is no mention of any other change to the spell that would prevent him from creating new vampires, as this is a consequence of the Immortality Spell itself.

Esther was the creator of the Vampirism Spell. This means she could remove literally any facet of the spell she didn’t want or add new properties to the spell, like she did with Alaric. Now, Esther’s main goal for coming back to life was to create an Original Vampire that would wipe out all her children, with an indestructible stake (which she knew would also wipe out all their turned progeny).

With the above factors in mind, there is no logic in thinking that she’d allow the Sirelink Spell to go into or be part of Alaric’s creation. That would be counter productive.

She’d also know that even if Alaric would never turn anyone on purpose because of his hate for vampire (similar to how Mikael never ever turned anyone because of his self-hate) his blood could be stolen and used to make one vampire that could go on to create 000s of vampire in literally a day and on and on and on. Bringing her back to square one.

These canon reasons leads me to believe she didn’t include the Sirelink Spell when making him, or she edited it out of the composition of the Vampirism Spell. She’s its creator.

The only way I ever see her allowing Alaric the ability to sire new vampires is if she also made it that any vampire he sires would also inherit his hatred for vampires and (like Mikael) only feast on vampire blood (or starve to death). That way, Alaric would be creating “anti-bodies” (his sireline) that go after “infections” (other vampires), wiping them off the face of the earth and when he dies, they’d all die with him. This would make his work (and Esther’s goal) much easier to achieve.

It wouldn’t make any kind of sense whatsoever that Esther would allow him the ability to sire new vampires, if they’re just gonna act like every other vampire. The average vampire is a destructive force that takes the lives of countless innocents and spread so quickly that the death toll is multiplied. As a teenager, Elena would technically have 80-90 years tops, before old age comes and takes her. That’s nearly a century of Alaric-generated vampires wreaking havoc on the earth. That doesn’t seem like a mistake Esther would make again, especially since she’s the creator of the spell who could just edit that bit out of it since it literally doesn’t serve any single purpose to her course.

She was a magical genius. She wouldn’t be that sloppy after 1000 years of learning from her mistakes in creating vampires.

Instead of all the drama of having to deal with a new sireline, just remove the ability to create them. Problem solved. He can then have laser focus on his assignment and not worried about someone stealing his blood, while also thinking about protecting Elena from untimely death.

I have a different perspective because the spell that made Enhanced Original Vampire is same spell that created the Originals, only difference is Esther reverse engineer by replacing the dark object, White Oak with supernatural occurrence, the doppelgänger's life force which is Ester called upon instead White Oak also it allowed Enhanced Original Vampire to be invulnerable to stakes and ashes of White Oak dipped within the silver dagger (white oak stakes, red oak stakes, cursed stakes and regular wooden stakes included wooden bullet made of White Oak and regular wood). Sire link would be still in the spell since it is a copy of the Original Vampire spell that reversed engineered by Esther Mikaelson and siring was one of the consequences of Esther's spell which Nature needed a weaker verson of an Original be who can be killed by sun, stakes and wolf venom. Therefore should stand consequences of Esther's spell, siring would still there since Alaric was affect by sun as result to be resurrected, Elena's life force for giving life and wolf venom for giving form of protection against werewolves in addition siring a weaker version of Enhanced Original who only be killed by sun, Elena's force and wolf venom (Mikaelsons were linked to Klaus's life force with immortality slumber spell while bitten by 7 strain wolf venom and it didn't kill them as Klaus kept them alive as source of power fueling immortality slumber spell and Elena as doppelgänger is more powerful than Klaus as source of power so Alaric's progeny would be remain still alive with Elena's fueling vampirism spell however they would suffer from wolf venom until dies). So Alaric would still be able create vampires and have his own sireline of copies of a regular vampire.

@King327 The Sirelink is a spell created by Esther. It wasn’t a consequence created by Nature. Nothing suggests this.

Also, Originals can die by White Oak (and other extreme means but can still be killed). That was enough for Nature. Nature didn’t need them to be able to create weaker progeny that could die. This isn’t Qetsiyah’s Immortality spell that Nature couldn’t revoke.

Thus, Esther wouldn’t have allowed the Sirelink spell pass on to Alaric because it literally doesn’t serve any purpose.

@Sayitasitis2 I think you got mixed up between sire-link and siring when I was explaining. Siring part it is one of consequences of Esther's Spell that allow to create vampires by blood transfusions that contain diluted Dark Magic and hybrids (Hybrid part, I meant Klaus only as Original Hybrid exception only who can create hybrid because of repercussions of being an Original hybrid who can sire lesser version of Original hybrid) and sire-link is facet of Esther's Spell. What Esther casted spell on Alaric was copy of Esther's Spell with replacement of element and I do not think she didn't remove sire-link since it was originally a part of Esther's Spell to link lives of vampires to Originals which can be severed by the death of an Original or de-siring spell or a witch channeling massive amount energy to break sire-link (it is debatable whether does or doesn't work). Aside sire-link is still involved no matter what circumstances as long it is Esther's spell or reverse engineered version of Esther's spell involved including the elements of sun, magic that creates an Original or a copy of Original (Enhanced Originals and Beast Vampires) and others elements. Additionally, there wasn't any canon confirmation from showrunner statement, writer statement or on screen character statement that sire-link wasn't used in the modified version of Esther's Spell. To account Enhanced Original Vampire is nearly same as Original Vampires but altered by modification of the spell that created Originals.

Exactly, the spell used by Esther is essentially the same, with the only observed and proven modification being the replacement of the White Oak to Elena. Furthermore we don't have any information inside or outside the show to state that Alaric wouldn't be able to sire vampires or anything like that.

In fact, there would be no reason for Esther to bother removing any of these things from the spell, because any vampire created by Alaric would die with him anyway when Elena died.

@Jyuubi But why would Esther allow Alaric the ability to create the very things he’s trying to exterminate? It doesn’t make sense. Vampires can and have wrecked countless havoc in a span of 90 years. The multiplication of vampires from Alaric would cause new innocents to lose their lives. Esther was a genius witch who wanted to wipe vampires off the face of the earth.

Though it was never stated or implied whether Esther removed his ability to sire, yet, there is no reason whatsoever for her to allow Alaric have the ability to create more abominations since it was a spell she could remove.

What proves whether or not they can generate bloodlines is the connection of the originals in the first spell a thousand years ago (I have said several times that Rebekah told in the story that their mother linked the five through blood), any sirelink issue after that it is mere speculation, you two are trying to prove something that is not real, not even Hope demonstrated a sirelink because she was not linked or created by the spell, any user who claims this is making a serious mistake because at no point in the series was it shown, or said that a vampire unleashed a bloodline beyond the original five vampires, not even Mikael was shown creating vampires because he supposedly didn't want to, which is even stranger since Esther herself said she used Alaric like she did husband to make it stronger, do you have evidence in the series or outside of it that proves otherwise? why invalidate the users and the moderator himself who said that they are not in the sirelink situation is serious, since this is false, if there is no evidence and you claim, it is false another question that no one raised is why the sirelink only has been demonstrated through the original five, have you seen Marcel or Alaric create new vampires? Where was it spoken? Are there post credits scenes? Speculations are nothing concrete, just speculations.

@Sayitasitis2 You are observing the situation as something that comes from Esther's will, and therefore it would not make sense for her to allow him to generate more vampires, however, even when she created the Immortality Spell, it was never her intention to allow her children to generate vampires, this was a consequence of the Spell.

Esther cannot change the Spell's properties at her pleasure. Each change requires a reformulation of the spell. If she could simply change all of the spell's properties, she wouldn't have made Alaric vulnerable to sunlight, for example.

The only reformulation she made to the spell was replacing White Oak with Elena.

In fact, if you look at the dialogue during Alaric's transformation into an Original Vampire, Elena says that there was a risk that Esther was creating a worse monster than her children, and Esther says no, because Alaric's personality was manipulated by her. to feel immense hatred and disgust towards Vampires, therefore he would never become like them, and would eventually die along with Elena. In Esther's mind, Alaric would never turn anyone because his hatred for the Vampire species was so great that he would never consider that possibility. Just like Mikael, as far as we know, he never transformed anyone.

As far as I know, Esther can't just alter the properties of her own spell simply by her will, and when she performs the spell to transform Alaric, she says that she realized the mistake she made before, and that this time she would do it differently, linking Alaric's life to Elena. @JesseTN346972 Could you bring me the episode number or the quote where Rebekah mentions that the sirelink spell only exists because her mother connected them by blood? We, and all vampires including the Originals, only discovered that Sirelink existed when Finn died. In other words, it is not possible for Rebekah to make a statement about something she didn't even know existed. The Sirelink is a facet of Esther's Immortality Spell, not something that exists because she connected their blood, a quote I don't even remember hearing in the series. In fact, not without because you seem so upset about it.

About Marcel... I made clear my doubts about his ability to generate a bloodline, as his version of the spell doesn't use Doppelganger blood, which is the most powerful binding agent. Although Michael Narducci said that Doppelganger's blood was expendable because Lucien was using the soil from Mystic Falls that contained the mystical energy generated in the creation of the Originals.
