Charlotte

So I'm on season 4 of Vampire Diaries and I've noticed a potentially major plot hole with the Originals. If Charlotte was truly in New Orleans (for any amount of time) since 1942 wouldn't Marcel have found her and either recruited her or killed her? I get that she still would have found Damon and that would've all played out the same, but what about all that time between 1942 and 2010? Obviously the Harvest hadn't happened yet so Davina couldn't track when witches were doing magic, but Marcel still would've been running New Orleans and he always made it seem like it was his job to know when new vampires came to town. So wouldn't he have know about Charlotte?

I will admit, the originals did good in that it closed most plot threads even if we didnt like the answers we got but i just realized after 5 seasons, we never got answers to what happened to nandi and charlotte, remember them?, they were from that episode of damon and stefan going to new orleans for something and i dont even get why they would do that when episodes later they had the pilot of the originals which took place in new orleans, that plot and those two characters could have literally been from any city

But since they did that, they didnt even explain the fate of those gals, we can only assume i guess that nandi was punished for using magic, i mean was davina taken by marcel at that point?, i dont remember and charlotte, i dont know if she counted as marcels vampire, we can assume she was cause damon sire bonded her to stay in that one spot and she stayed there for like a century so we can only assume marcel fed her i guess, basically we're just going off guesses

I know some people might not want to know what happened to them but i dont watch tv shows to leave hanging mysteries.
