So, with my obsession over The Vampire Diaries, I have rewatched the show about 7 or 8 times now. As I am just watching an episode in season 5, right as Alaric compels Elena to forget she ever loved Damon, I remember that when Alaric eventually crosses over the Mystic Falls border, and his vampirism is stripped away he then dies, but Jo being amazing as always brings Alaric back and he is now human. All throughout the show when a vampire dies, everyone they have ever compelled will get their memories back and remember as we see throughout the seasons and eventually when Stefan becomes human everyone he compelled remembers everything that happened and when Elijah was killed with the dagger, Kathrine was then able to leave the tomb. So with this being a rule to magic brings me to my very large question...why didnt Elena get her memories of Damon back when Alaric died?
So I am rewatching the first season because I finished season 8 about a year ago. I just wanted to say that if you have finished TVD entirely you should 100% rewatch season 1. It is nice to see how the characters have changed, and all of the connections a references to future seasons. I forgot how much i love this show!!! ***Spoiler Ahead*** But I think we all knew Stelena was never meant to be.
So I was watching 5.14 (no exit) and noticed that the whole point of the episode was that Damon and Enzo were trapped in the house because of the boundary spell placed by the travelers but when Wes asked him to come with him, Enzo was able to leave but Damon stayed. How?
How comfortable are you guys with the age of The characters who are dating older characters? like Elena is 17 dating Stefan and Caroline is 17 with Damon and Davina is 16 with Kol. Aya told davina “he’s a little old for you by a good Millennial I say” she’s the only one who I heard think it’s weird.
Ok so when I'm rewatching tvd, I notice that stefan gives elena the necklace to stop damon from compelling her, but we learn later that doppelgangers are supernatural beings, that cant be compelled, then why did stefan worry that damon would compel her?
I've been watching tvd for a while now, just finished it today actually. I'm going to watch the originals, and then legacies but I just want to know is this it for, Elena, Damon, and Stefan will we ever see them again
Rewatching TVD for like the fifth time because a friend of mine started it for the first time. I just finished season 6. I adore that last scene with Damon and Elena dancing! But I had a thought. Did Elena ever get to dance with Stefan? Because he was going to be her partner at the Miss Mystic Falls but he became a ripper so Damon filled in. At the next Miss Mystic Falls, Elena was sired to Damon and danced with him after that too.
Guys, I am rewatching TVD and I love Damon. He is my favorite character and I didn’t know that the first time I watched it so now I look at every small detail about him and I realized that Alaric and him never really made up after all that has happened after the time jump, but since Damon gave the thing that is most important to him ( his car ) to Lizzie and Josie for their sweet sixteen, I think that they may be best friends again. I really hope so because I love that bromance but Idk. What are your thoughts ?

So I know about when Caroline was in transition and the struggles she had when in the process, but when exactly did she have vampire blood in her system? The page says it was Damon's blood, but I do not recall her having anything in her system at that time.. help me out
Damon manipulates Bonnie into doing his bidding on a regular basis under the disguise of friendship. Not to mention, Damon killed a pregnant woman too and countless other people and basically raped Caroline when she was human. Jeremy cheated her with a ghost. There was no chemistry between Bonnie and Enzo. Elena likes to turn any and everything back into all about her and that’s annoying, especially in a friendship.
Caroline, Matt and Tyler were really the better friends for Bonnie in my opinion.
Right so just re watching the pilot episode and when Damon appears and they go out the window , they end up in the courtyard but the house shown isn’t the Boarding House it’s a cobble house and is much smaller —does anyone know what this place is, is it Zachs house or an outhouse or what ????
The main Salvatore boarding house appears in episode 2 so I’m confused
Watching the Kai Parker episode and seeing Sebastian and Lizzie rooming around the world romantically playing fairytale just for him to eventually take advantage and date rape her, made me feel kinda of sick. It made me realize how the writers have been romanticizing these unequal power dynamics with these shows whether its between a young naive human and centuries old vampire or a young naive witch and a centuries old vampire, knowing that there audience is mainly teens but legacies being the exception probably kids too now. It’s sort of a callback to S1 of TVD when Damon was abusing and having sex with Caroline.
I just have this whole idea that probably will not happen but I’m hoping it will. Since Damon has the cure in his blood and technically the blood gets passed down from Damon to his two kids I think that would be a good story line for a later legacies season and because they all have the cure in them I think that Rebekah could be in this season because she has always wanted the cure and it can solve the Rebekah-Marcel problem and maybe Davina and Kol issue. It could also mean that any children that Damon has can never turn into vampires. Or maybe they will turn into vampires once the cure leaves their body. I’m not sure it’s all just a theory.
