This is probably going to sound dumb but I'm lost. Okay so Elena gets put under a spell by Kai and can only come back after Bonnie dies. Bonnie figures it out and brings her back, but then Elena finds peace with her family and from what I understand its like going to heaven, but don't you have to be dead to find peace and she came back so I'm confused... Please help..

How come Elena and Damon are still young when they’re in heaven at the end of the series finale? Does this mean they didn’t die old or the show just used the current actors?

I feel like it should’ve been damon that died because he was never the one to make the sacrifice play like stefan always did but damon was only selfless like two times seeing damon die and giving up his chance to see elena again would’ve been epic

In the finale of TVD, Stefan was human. He got his blood in a syringe, taking the cure out of him and putting it in Damon. As we all know, Elena woke up after he died.
The problem I’m swirling in my head right now is this:
Stefan would have no way of knowing that Bonnie would break the curse on Elena and her. He wouldn’t know! People say that Stefan did what he did so that Elena and Damon would their life together. But Stefan would think that Elena still had around 60 years in the coffin. But he gave Damon the cure right then and there. So by the time Elena wakes up, Damon would be old.
The writers fixed that problem by having Bonnie be like “I did it it took time but I did it.”
... that’s all we get?! Isn’t this supposed to be unbreakable, except only by Kai. Didn’t he say that if they tried to find their way around it, they would both die instantly?! Isn’t this the reason that Elena was gone for 2 seasons?!
Anyway that’s it. Stefan basically unintentionally screwed Delena while Bonnie broke an unbreakable spell. We didn’t even get how she did it.

I would like at least if he dies or whatever, maybe in some psychic thing like when stefan when he died was able to talk to elena while she was asleep, I would like landon to talk to malivore, I want a son-father interaction between these two.
Regardless of whether he lives or dies, I want these two to interact.

So in the series finale, we know Elena took the cure and became human. Which is fine as she was only a vampire for a few years, so she wouldn’t age much and we also know that Damon drank her blood to become human with her making him the cure and if someone would drink his blood, he’d die of fast aging. But did anyone ask my girl Caroline if she wanted to be human again?.... I mean Elena could have taken the cure and aged a couple years, then Caroline drinks her blood and the age process is practically the same as Elena’s, as she was only a vampire a year or two longer than Elena and then Damon drink Caroline’s blood, since he’s the oldest and would die if someone took it from him?!

So I’ve seen this massive theory that hasn’t really been talked about on here.
So what if Kai lies to the MFG and linked Stefan and Elena, not Elena and Bonnie? I think this could be quite a cool story line type thing and that would explain how Bonnie ‘broke’ the spell so easily.

Don’t you think it’s weird how Silas had to drain all the blood out of Katherine to become human while on the other hand all it took for Bonnie was a little syringe of Elena’s blood and Enzo would be human and same goes for when Stefan gave Damon the cure on the last episode

I know that I'm not the only one asking this question... But did I miss some facts? Why couldn't Stefan just leave the dagger in Katherine and leave her in the tunnels? I mean of course stefan was dying without the Cure, and without giving it up he could'nt stop damon, but there must have been an other way! I know it had to be like that, I'm just still hurt about loosing stefan....

In the end of the series, why Damon didn't age quickly like Katherine did? He was 150 years old so how he lived a long life with Elena and have a child and didn't age at all?

Do you guys know if there was any particular reason why the main characters didn't just dump Vicki in the Arctic somewhere at the end of season 8 instead of letting her ring the bell? It's not like there was anyone else who could've done the job & they certainly had enough manpower to wrangle Vicki. So is this like a plothole or am I missing something?

I really do, because every-time she had a ray of hope in her life, it would vanish away. Like at the start of the series when she thought that she would have a great school year. However, she got abused by Damon. Then Damon compels her to forget everything and she is fine. But when Katherine kills her in the hospital, she becomes a vampire and remembers what Damon did to her. Shortly after, her parents wouldn't accept her and often did awful things to her, such as when her dad tortured her in a torture chair. But even after that, they learn to accept her as their daughter. But then, both of her parents die. Afterwards, her friends try to help her through her loss. But during that process, Elena gets into a coma and Bonnie dies many times. At last, she has a happy ending as she is married to Stefan. However, on that same day, Stefan sacrifices his life and dies. I think that Caroline deserved so much better.
I feel like she has lost so much :(

When it shows Damon and Elena greeting their loved ones (Gilbert Family & Stefan) in the afterlife, is this a flash forward to many years later, or is it present time? Meaning if you were to take the Legacies timeline, would they both be dead now or was this afterlife scene just showing what will eventually happen after they grow old and they are still alive?

Also I thought that making the last outro to appear be different was excellent, so when we see this particular logo we associate it with the finale and ending of TVD

I have a question, why didn’t they talk about Damon and Elena's future more at the last episode. I mean the entire last two seasons was building up to the fact that they could spend life together, but all they showed was that they died and found peace.... I mean.... seriously.

Ok, hear me out here. In the last episode someone had to make sure Katherine was in hell when they destroy it, so Stefan did it and he died. He pushed Damon into that room to save him. We know Katherine doesn't wake up for at least a few minutes when stabbed so why couldn't they just stab her when the fire was near and wait in that room? No one had to die except for Katherine. I watched TVD like 4 times, so am I missing something?

So the Bonnie-Elena linking spell.
Kai was the leader of the Gemini Coven. He even said there was no witchy work around the spell or else it would kill them both instantly. For 2 season, Elena was gone. Then the last episode happened. Bonnie just breaks the spell. Just like that. No explanation of how she did it. She just said I broke the spell.
So I’m confused. Did she all of a sudden get motivation or a boost of energy from the witches where she thinks she can break the spell all of a sudden? I still don’t understand how she broke it and it frustrates me. Anyone else feel like this?
