Julian (Season Seven)

In Mommie Dearest, why did they act like Julian could only be killed by the Phoenix Sword? Just because he was hundreds of years old, it didn't change the fact that he could still be killed by decapitation or a simple stake through the heart, which Stefan did several episodes later.

In 07x01 Lily calls her "children" "centuries-old Heretics" yet we also learn in that season that Oscar was sent as a human during the Civil war to check on Damon and he talks him into deserting the day before the Battle of Gettysburg so that would have been June 30, 1863. Likewise Julian (who was a vampire already) and Valerie (who was human still) were sent to check on Stefan in Mystic Falls in 1863.

So.... How can they be centuries old (and Valerie be the first to turn after losing Stefan's baby) and how did Rayna Cruz chase them for decades? She might have got a couple decades in I suppose.

So these "world weary survivalists" who are "wise beyond their lifetime" really have spent most of their time as desiccated vampires.

I'm really starting to wonder about the writers of this show. Lol

In season 7 episode 3 of tvd we find out that valerie has a brother (julien). But if she is a heretic, then shouldn't he also be one, since you know, they are siblings?
