Were they published by a ghostwriter of by Julie? Because on the books it as created by Julie please based on the vampire diaries while the Stefan diaries which is written by a ghostwriter and say BASED off the L.J smith novels and the TV series. I’ve also seen mostly everywhere online say she is the author and/or created by her and she is credit as an author on the books so I just wanted to know if it was a missed thing here or am I missing something

During the "I Was Feeling Festive in Mystic Falls Convention" on December 2nd, 2023, Matt Davis asked Julie "are we going to do The Vampire Diaries: The Movie". Pausing, Julie responded with "Apparently, it's somebody's desire to do that", much to his, and the fan's surprise. When asked about "who", Julie only offers that "it's a conversation being had".

Wonder what this could entail? Is it Post TVD finale? Is it related to Legacies? Oh the possibilities could be endless. Would you even want it to happen, given the number of cast members saying they're 'done'. (Really want Kat to come back as Bonnie or even have her with children). Would it be canon to the series. Or is it a whole new cast in the TVD name to launch the "fourth" series? Who knows. Just something to think about. The current information is kept on the TVDU article!

The Vampire page states that Aerial manipulation, Flying, and Compelling Animals abilities were removed from the plot because the authors found these abilities "too supernatural".

How can I access this explanation of the authors?

I havent heard people talk about this for a while but I have my own take on this and it probably will end up being someone sacrifices themself for someone they love and the destroyer part is a metaphor but it occurred to me what if this is referring to pothos and maybe his family? I mean maybe this is the worse threat to arrive cause I feel to have such a bold statement like that the villian at least has to have some power, like jack the ripper is worse than malivore but he could get slaughtered going against superhumans so the villian sphinx told about has to have power. And pothos and his family are all gods of love, cause I dont think they would just name drop that, I dont see why they would just have necromancer collect his corpse only for it to not be seen or mentioned again. And unlike malivores other kids, these gods of love actually have credibility as being threats, I mean you saw how tough it was to take down pothos, imagine a whole family of him and even if we do know their weaknesses doesnt mean its going to be easy taking on a whole family of them. Granted this has a certain level of randomness to it if they go this route and im not sure what makes them considered gods to all other supernaturals, if jp tries to say they are omnipotent then she is full of crap, pothos sure wasnt omnipotent and frankly i dont want omnipotent beings in this show. But this is what I think that line could refer to and it be an interesting twist and I'd wonder if malivore and necromancer get involved or just leave it alone.

I really really really hope it aint triad as the worse threat cause yeah they are worse than malivore but unless they bring something new to the table they didnt last time then I dont care to see them again and I will find myself skipping scenes and I dont think legacies wants pseudo viewers tuning in, I really dont. Cause you dont have to believe me but that got rod rowland on some site is said to come back as burr and im like oh hell no, maybe as an independent supernatural hunter okay but dont bring triad with.

But what do you think about my theory?, could they go this clever route or the lazy route

Do you guys think the writers will have Hope become a vampire later on in the series? And would you guys want that?

Personally, I want her to become a vampire. I want to see how she'd handle being a part of the undead.

Is it just me or dose it bother y’all that with a lot of the things that happened in this series, the characters should show more when they are angry or anything else honestly bec I feel like the show would have played out a little different if the creators would have make some things more pushed in a way. ( anyone else... feedback?)

I don’t understand why so many people give so much hate to the writers and actors.

Like imagine if you were Julie or one of the actors and you get death threats or hated on because of your ideas and hard work.

I get people have opinions and all but still. If you get what i’m saying.

Or read the comment board? I wonder if she ever takes anyone's ideas into consideration. Thoughts?

To be honest, when I started Legacies, I was pretty psyched up about the lives of these young heroes as a spin-off in the TVD universe. But then recently I rewatched The Originals and TVD and was appalled. Can’t say the same about Legacies. TVD and TO had complex characters, complicated villains and decent interesting story lines. Legacies, 😩. The characters are so bland, except Hope Mikaelson, whom I had begun with in TO but her characterization here is so weak. How can you compare Katherine Pierce or Klaus Mikaelson or Kai Parker to a MUD PIT, a freaking Mud Pit for crying out loud. A mud pit that spat out Santa Claus. Is Julie really serious with this Malivore story line? This show falls incredibly short of its predecessors footsteps. They ruined TO’s last season for this crap. Crap that brings us fairy tale creatures in a monster of the week fashion. If this show didn’t have the awkward make out sexy scenes or the gory blood scenes. Once a CW show becomes that, there is a serious problem. The closest thing to TVD or TO slightly level material is Clarke, Clarke. But Clarke is also incredibly weak as a villain. The Necromancer is just those typical one dimensional ‘take over the world’ villain. Has this what Julie has come to now? And Julie gets so smart that she even introduces a FAIRY in the mix, a male fairy with wings and how a fairy’s power grows with belief. I’m so surprised the woman hasn’t introduced pixie dust yet. The stakes in this show are so small, the characters are so boring. The best character growth I’ve seen in this show so far is in Lizzie Saltzman, which is saying something. Let me summarize these characters for you.

1)Hope- the hero who has to save the day.

2)Landon- the hero’s boyfriend who has to find himself in the hero’s life.

3)Lizzie- the stereotypical mean blonde.

4’Josie- good girl. At her sister’s shadow. Has a dark side that causes her to go all murdery.

5. MG- The boy who is never seen by his crush.

6. Rafael- I don’t even know his point in the story as of this point.

7. Kaleb- just a secondary guy who has to take part in the action, even though matters are none of his business.

8.Sebastian- a lame attempt of the show to go back to it’s roots.

9.Alyssa- ???????????????????????

See what I’m talking about. I don’t see anything much with these characters. TVD and TO characters were complex. I was compelled at S02 of both TVD and TO but this one, a 16 episode order is too large for a show this pathetic. Maybe an eight episode order would do the trick( said no one ever). This show is pretty bad. The ‘villains’ are just gross. Look at everyone in the school. Celebrating Santa Claus. How old are these guys? Santa Claus vs a Krampus, really? How far are they gonna take this. What’s next, mermaids? Ooh or maybe talking koalas now. The last episode sent us to a fairy tale world with a pig and the Big Bad Wolf. Really? What is wrong with you JP. You ‘re ruining your own universe. The TVD universe will forever be marked by this disaster as will it marked by the iconic Original family and the greatest tv love triangle of all time- Stelena or Delena. Please change your ways. Change your thinking cause you’re going nowhere with this show. Julie always ruins her own shows. Her partners are better in writing shows than she ever will be- Michael Narducci for TO and Kevin Williamson for TVD. Once they left, the shows began falling apart as per her ‘counsel’. Fix things. Don’t let your universe crumble apart just cause of this monstrosity of a show (pun unintended). Fix this mess. The actors have great potential. You’re the one whose wasting them. Peyton Smith is just there to whine and act mysterious. Nothing more. Do better. Julie, you need to change.

Does anybody else feel that Legacies is getting worse like you know those lame ''young people or teen'' shows(i can't give a name for an example)

where there are all those lame effects and plot is a bit off idk is it because of the budget cause idk know what it is i mean this show is a successor to TVD and TO it should combine those two well and it should have the same budget if not even larger one than it's predecessors?

All in all idk if it's JP's fault or the writers fault but they managed to [a bodily excretion] such a good legacy.

With legacies 2X02 julie plec broke my heart again

I wonder if Julie wants Aurora’s character to return since she kept her under a sleeping curse. If Aurora wakes up and finds out Klaus is dead, she’ll possibly hunt down Hope and try and kill her. Any of Klaus’ enemies will become Hope’s.

I read an article on Twitter saying how Julie Plec would like to see a legacies, supernatural crossover. I would love to see my two favorite shows crossover. We both know it won’t happen but imagine how it would play out. Professional hunters v. Hope Mikaelson.

After TVD ended and Stefan’s death everyone just began threatening her. I don’t understand why? Do people actually mean what they say or are they just messing around. Most people take these fictional characters and ships way too deep. In my opinion there’s nothing wrong with the writing, besides season 8 which I didn’t understand. Every other season (including TO and LGCS) was average writing but it wasn’t bad. She has others produce and help write the episodes as well but people still target her.

When Nina left the show everything went downhill, but Julie continued to write two more seasons of tvd. She created all of these different characters and included diversity. Everyone hates her because of their own problems. If their ship wasn’t endgame or Penelope leaving and Josie not getting a girlfriend. I don’t think threats and hate is gonna change anything or give you want you want. You call her an unoriginal or lazy writer but yet you still watch the show.

Im really struggling to see how and why Julie Plec thought it would be a good idea to plant seeds of deceit and betrayal in Landon and Rafael's relationship by choosing to make Hope a possible love-interest for Rafael. What genuine interest does he really have for her the fact that she's in love with someone who is like a brother to him???? Or is Julie Plec just a lazy writer who thinks its okay to tell the same story over again for the third time about two brothers pitted against one another over a girl? Also I found it super unnecessary that so many of the shows characters were forced into all these love rhombus' within just one season, I felt like even for a teen drama its excessive and unnecessary for it being just the first season.

Why the former alumni or the main ones at least want nothing to do with julie anymore? I dont want to create a conspiracy controversy and have people attack julie on her twitter but with all the speculating, what do you think she did that pissed off so many of the actors?, ive never seen this really before, recently there was heroes reborn which was a spin off of heroes and it didnt get back some of its main stars either but they got enough back and they felt like they served a purpose, when we do get cameos nowadays, they feel out of place. I dont know how she treats her cast but if its just cause how she wrote them, then im not sure I like that excuse. Yes her writing is medicore alot of the times, we know this but she saying she is giving an opportunity to return and fix her mistakes, she is being the bigger person, the actors refusing to do it arent. I could also explain why that is an insult to the fans but im just talking about the boss-employee relationship, Ive never seen that before, im not even sure that happened before, spin offs happen more these days than like in the 50s-90s when television truly arrived, even in the 2000s-2010, i dont remember any spin offs that much so its very bizzare. I thought I ask you all what you all think happened. Maybe this is something that needs to be asked to actors at those conventions. I understand it maybe awkward for them but if these kind of questions arent asked, then we're left not knowing like its some great scientific mystery, its not, its a bunch of actors refusing to work for a boss again, you'd think at least one of them tell what kinds of conditions it is working with her if they flat out refuse to take a job with her again especially just to reprise a role.
