Hey so I wanted to ask...
What would happen if Josie and Lizzie just don't do the merge... would their family (from Jo's side) come and force them to do it?
I see a lot of ppl theorizing that the merge shouldn’t happen now bc Kai’s dead, I think the Gemini Coven knew that the twins would still be able to merge even without a leader, bc why even magically transplant the twins into a womb if they didn’t think their coven had a future? Also ppl keep saying that if one of the twins turns into a Heretic that would automatically stop The Merge bc it would trap one of them at a certain age that isn’t 22, that’s not the case bc if you remember during TVD Jo was years older than Kai due to his magical timeout and yet it was still possible for them to do the merge. I think that even if one of the twins turned into a Heretic that would give them an automatic win over the one that isn’t.
If Hope has a son with Landon, the son will be tetrabrid, so how does this plot fit in the future? For me, I really think Hope will have a descendant, or the twins will give rise to "Tribrids / Siphons" with Rafael or another Werewolf in the future. Why do I think Hope or the twins will cause even greater imbalances in nature with the emergence of other hybrids "tetrabrids" or "pentabrids" or "Dark / Siphoners" specialists in absorbing black magic without changing their psychological conditions, going crazy like the others the majority of witches in the Gemini Coven or perhaps generating new mutant witches with specific abilities such as indeterminately increasing their magic or with the gift of accumulating various abilities born of the other cursed witches as travelers becoming Heretics as abilities of travelers, necromancers, psychics, illusionists and other witches experienced in those magical abilities.
I was thinking about when Elizabeth wished Hope out of high school and Hope found her after she blew out the school lights, in that episode, Hope and Josette approach. now, on second thought, I think they date in that universe, because Hope assumes to have a crush on Josette, so we can assume that they had a small relationship.
This could be completely wrong, but wouldn’t Kai’s death as the leader of the Gemini Coven kill everyone else in the coven, ie Lizzie and Josie. I know he died in season 6 of TVD technically and now he’s “not alive” as such, but then again this is the TVDverse so anything could happen. Providing this was true, this would mean that Kai wouldn’t REALLY be dead, maybe an illusion spell or something idk, which would line up with what Chris Wood said about wanting to come back to play the character for as long as possible.
Remember in TVD when Bonnie's mom Abby dessicated Mikael she lost her powers for good. But in the recent episode of Legacies when Lizzie dessicated Sebastian she is not at all affected by it. I mean I know Mikael is a 1000 year old Original vampire but even Sebastian is not a baby vampire so Lizzie should atleast have something like a nose bleed
I'm not done watching the episode, but Sebastian had just called Lizzie Cassandra and I was right!! Elizabeth Saltzman is a doppelganger and I am very excited to see flashbacks of their life together.
I'm VERY excited (but that might be an understatement).
Watching the Kai Parker episode and seeing Sebastian and Lizzie rooming around the world romantically playing fairytale just for him to eventually take advantage and date rape her, made me feel kinda of sick. It made me realize how the writers have been romanticizing these unequal power dynamics with these shows whether its between a young naive human and centuries old vampire or a young naive witch and a centuries old vampire, knowing that there audience is mainly teens but legacies being the exception probably kids too now. It’s sort of a callback to S1 of TVD when Damon was abusing and having sex with Caroline.
I don't think I teach you something here, but Hope, Josie and Lizzie are clearly the holy trinity of Legacies.
The thing is, I've seen a lot of people complaining about that and the " Girl Power " of the show... And I really don't understand why.
For 8 years of TVD and 5 years of TO, all females characters existed only for love interest and were damsels in distress. Elena, Caroline, Camille... Even powerful beings like Rebekah and Hayley were mostly used for love story and had to be saved countless times.
Now that the situation is reversed and that we finally have females characters that can handle things instead of being saved every seconds, peoples always have to complain about it.
Now I'm talking about Legacies because this is site is about TVD, but it actually happen in a lot of shows / movies. Why do peoples hate so much strong females characters that can handle themself ?
So I was talking to my friend who watches the show btw, and she asked about the Five. And that bought up a questions in my head as I started to think about everything that’s happened in the shows: Is Jeremy still one of the Five? If not, what happened to them after Silas was awoken? Who has the Gilbert rings now? Is Kai still the leader of the Gemini Coven? If Lizzie or Josie becomes a heretic, does that mean they don’t have to do the merge since, technically, one of them is already dead?
(Also, this kinda makes me depressed, but my friend brought up the fact that Kai may be returning in Legacies, but if he’s still the coven leader, then they might just be bringing him back to kill him off.)
As excited as I am to see Kai come back into Legacies, I was wondering how much help he’d really be when it comes to helping Lizzie and Josie avoid the Merge. Especially, since he had been TRYING to find every single way to do the merge with his sister since he found out about it. Also, I was confused about why Alaric thought Kai would help the twins, seeing as they’re the ones that put him in the prison world in the first place.
What are your guy's thoughts on how Kai will react to seeing his nieces again after almost killing them when they were toddlers? Do you think he'll be nice enough to inform his nieces on the impending merge? do you think he'll show a soft spot for them?
Also, who do you think will be the one saying "Kai Parker Screwed Us"
Right so had I thought and I don’t know if it has been discussed before but is it possible that hope can be a true tribrid once she turns vampire? So the thought I had was this... what if hope can be a true tribrid by keeping her witch abilities. Is there a chance that hope is a siphon? I know we have never directly seen her siphon anything like Lizzie and Josie have to but could that be because she’s always had magic in her blood (like heretics)? Im really hoping that this may have a chance of happening in Legacies because she does have magic in her blood from Klaus constantly giver her a source and then when she turns hybrid she can also be a heretic = true tribrid
Am I going mad can someone else tell me they have thought this before????
Like Arcadius or Sybil and Seline? why did he say he controlled Lizzie i'm sure it wasn't to irritate Alaric let alone say that he can compel a siphon, siphons can be compelled? even if they cannot produce their own magic they are still supernatural as they can absorb magic from any source.
The latest episode was so disappointing. I mean the Necromancer part was so boring and basic to watch. Also if Sebastian is dead, then what was the point of introducing him? If it doesn’t really go anywhere with Lizzie before he dies than it just seems like a waste of a storyline. Plus I don’t think they’ll actually tell us what happened to him for a long time and Alaric’s attitude towards him was so annoying. Alaric was best friends with Damon who killed a pregnant woman. Honestly the only part I really liked was when Sebastian was with the witches. We got to see him and Lizzie interact in sort of a good way and the witches finally looked like a real force in the TVD universe and not just people for vampires to easily kill. Anyway, I really hope the show gets better soon.
