Lizzie Saltzman

So, we all know what the outcome was when Lizzie went up against Hope when she tried to kill her with the Red Oak Stake. When Hope killed Lizzie, Lizzie briefly spoke with Josie (somehow AFTER dying). Lizzie said that she had an “insurance plan” if things wen bad. And that insurance plan was drinking vampire blood incase she died so she could come back as a vampire. My question is, why couldn’t she use a protection spell instead? A protection spell could, as the name implies, protect a witch from permanently dying should said witch be killed. I get the writers probably wanted a better story line and also solves the merge, but in season 2 when Lizzie was in the prison world with Sebastian, she said she THOUGHT about becoming a vampire to solve the merge, but didnt want to do it due losing her mortal life and the ability have a family naturally. And from what i have read on different resources, casting this spell doesn’t require much. Bonnie used it when she had the power of 100 dead witches and was going up against Klaus who at the time was in the body of Alaric. It was then used again when Davina killed Celeste and Celeste came back to life after having her neck snapped. It was then used yet again on Davina when she was killed by Klaus from being poisoned. Any witch can cast it, so why didnt Lizzie?

I have a small question about the Saltzman twins and Salvatore Boarding School:

In Legacies, Lizzie and Josie are seen siphoning walls and floors of the school, but how are they doing it? Was it ever explained how Salvatore Boarding House became magical? If yes, can anyone tell me the episode and season?

Fellow newbie to the TVD universe (suuuuper late i know, took me a while to finally give TVD a chance, and it didn’t disappoint) So i just finished Legacies, and i watched it for Lizzie and Josie. What i was looking forward to the most for them was the Merge. While yes Lizzie dying and turning into a hybrid solved it, I have a question, why did they need to merge if there was literally no one left alive in the Gemini Coven? As I recall, every member of the Gemini Coven died as a result of Kai killing himself while he was the Coven Leader. The Saltzman twins survive and are literally the only ones alive. Why must they merge if there is no coven for them to lead? Why is it their “duty” or “destiny” to do it? Couldn’t they just not recite the incantation for the merge and live long mortal lives with there own families? Couldn’t they just ignore it and think “there is no coven, why do i gotta risk killing myself or my twin if there is nothing to lead?”

After 6 years, 4 restarts, watching out of order I have finally finished everything today and it felt amazing. I had tried to watch the pilot for TVD but either I was preoccupied or it wasn’t catching my attention so I would give up on it then a few months later I would try again and the same thing would happen then during Legacies’ s1 midseason break I decided to catch up and I stuck with it to the end every week. During one of the summer hiatus between 1-2 or 2-3 I watched TO and weeped so the only one left was TVD and at this point I had watched up to where TO started and I had blacked out s3 and 4 and begrudgingly watched s5 then it ramped up in s6 with Bamon and Kai then the Heretics came and bored me prolonging my journey and the Sirens were good on paper but not execution and then they brought in the Devil and I was excited for him to be the end all be all but he was undercut by Katherine of all people. I love me some Katherine but it felt like they were happy to get Nina back so they cut the Kade stuff early just to use her one last time. Another option would’ve been to use Kelly Donovan as Katherine but they didn’t. So I have a few questions about what I’ve seen/heard from the fandom and my own; it may just be a case of me misremembering but let me know:

Why does every one hate Tyler Lockwood?

Why do people not like season 7-8?

Did they copy and paste Dorian’s backstory to Alyssa Chang?

So are Damon and Elena just walking around Mystic Falls ignoring everything that’s happening during Legacies?

Was Matt Donovan always this annoying/stern/“I hate everything related to the supernatural”?

Why didn’t Vicky fight off the compulsion to ring the bell?

Who was teaching baby Josie and baby Lizzie magic for them to even be using it at school?

I refuse to believe that Legacies is the last show in this universe, they always have a backup plan just in case their shows are in danger of cancellation. I think it’s another spinoff in the making, maybe it’s about the Gods, maybe it’s about the Mikaelson’s again, or could be about Hope’s life outside of the Salvatore school. I’m just hoping their is something after this, honestly they could give Rebekah and Freya their own show and have Hope,Lizzie and Caroline in it along with Valerie, we could see Rebekah and Freya’s enemies just like we saw Klaus and Elijah’s. That’s if the actors are willing to do that

(which i doubt they are) but it still wouldn’t hurt to ask right? worst they can say is no.

Can someone remind me what was the prison world rafael got sent in bound to?, cause if it was at least part lizzie, couldnt his world have crashed when she died when hope killed her?

At the same time we havent seen him in limbo unless they use excuse he couldnt find landon at first. That is assuming he and his parents spirits went into limbo.

Who do you think should be the unexpected visitors that pop up to landon in episode 19 and hope/lizzie in episode 20?

On my fanboy wishlist in episode 19 it would be kai, sebastian and malivore

And in 20 it would be klaus, elijah, damon and valerie.

But who are your choices.

I wonder how can Josie access to her dark side if she doesn’t have dark magic on her system anymore? Or she doesn’t need to drain/absorb magic anymore when she goes dark? If is that so, why doesn’t she keep it up with her dark side so she wouldn’t have to drain/absorb magic? I’m confused right now.

NOTE: I asked that because when Josie faced Hope, she didn’t have to drain magic to snap Hope off neither had dark magic anymore since Lizzie pull it off.

So i just watched 04x12 of Legacies and if gods can go back to time that means every single person who died can come back to life or otherwise just stop it like never happened. What's your opinion about this? I actually like it but i don't think that can happen without consequences.

To be honest I loved Lizzie in 4x10 and 4x11, but after 4x12 I am going back hating her. And the fact that she saved Aurora makes me hate Lizzie even more than I hated her for wanting Hope dead!

It's literaly like every time the writers make Lizzie less annoying one episode later is more annoying than ever.

I literally wish that Hope kills Lizzie.

But i guess is like father like daugther this season because it's clear that even Alaric doesn't care too much about Ted's fate if he gets his way. At this moment I think he even forgot about Landon.

Even so I liked this episode but Alaric and Lizzie made it annoying. I hope that at least one of them gets what he/she deserves !

Off the topic: Hope last scene in 4x12 was epic, I honestly hope that when when she recovers her humanity back will not return at her boring personality from before and better merge the two personalities into one and continue having some traits from her non-humanity personality !

If there is a season 5 I really hope they just dial back down to smaller stories rather than how can we keep topping past season with bigger and more powerful enemies who want to end the world cause that is getting boring and predictable(in a bad way). Cause with the introduction of gods, like how can you possibly top that? Plot armor interference already dictates they can only be limited powerful not to mention there are gods from every culture on the planet, are the writers going to do gods of the week?, I really hope not, that would take many many seasons to cover, its been established this current season is the 17th season of this franchise, we're almost out of magical abilities to showcase so its just going to be repeating itself. Even if they bring in nature as a living being they can only go so far with it.

There is nothing wrong with smaller more character driven stories rather than gathering up a bunch of them to stop some global threat, its been established there is potential for a few like a ripper mg and ripper lizzie storyline. I think fans will get more enjoyment in general out of that anyway. Basically you can get a bigger impact from something smaller as compared to something bigger that can only give a small impact if you catch my drift.

Are there any characters you guys still would like to get into a tussle?

For me a few of them would be-

Hope vs hybrid lizzie

Hope vs aurora

They might be setting up for sphinx vs ferryman which heck yes bring that on

I want to see ethan in another fight possibly against mg cause I think it will be revealed ethan has a hidden supernatural ability that dont come out unless times of danger like landon with his fire wings

Id like to see caroline and kol return to fight some powerful enemy at some point

Cause vardemus is coming back Id like to see him in a fight too and not just talk

Just out of curiousity I decide to take some guesses at what the last episode of legacies could look like going at the rate its going, I personally dont think it has much left in its tank, I could be wrong and it go on for years to come but here is a guess what could come in the final episode of legacies-

Hope and landon are going to be a full couple again, landon will help hopes humanity back on and help find a way for them to have a child.

Lizzie will get together with mg or ethan or both

The school will be either shut down or hope, lizzie, etc will be the new teachers for the younger generation.

Someone will get married, its such a common theme within finales anymore, I can see it happening here, I cant take a guess at who.

The final battle will be between the squad and the "gods"

A monster will make an appearance, maybe malivore and necromancer will appear

The triad will be officially closed down for good.

They will fit in penelope, jade, josie, rafael, freya and caroline as cameos.

I've been thinking here and what's the point of coming back with the merger plot? Josie is talking since last season of this story, back in the final eps of the third this uncomfortable subject came back, lastly Kaylee wanted to leave and I think they already had an idea, what's the point of it? Now that Lizzie has turned into a hybrid the Gemini Coven and any chance of them coming back has been wiped out, unless Josie has kids, or they discover another pair of twins, some usurers and here said season 5 could exploit that but this story is dead...Even if they invent other miracle babies inside another vampire or even some offspring of Kai Parker or another witch family related to the Gemini with their magic in their blood, or any other crazy story, it doesn't make sense anymore, what's the point of it ? do they really intend to renewed this story in season 5? or is it just speculation?

So everyone keeps saying that lizzie has a backup stake but i dont remember seeing this in the show? She only got to take one piece of wood from the burnt tree because the rest was ashes and then she carved it into a stake.

Ok they say that if Hope really recovered her humanity she will be very sad and cry and all of that, Thats not the case Hope really didn't really hurt anyone she cared about(exception being Alaric,who is in a coma) till she killed Lizzie(and really that she succeded) so Hope would not be overwhelmed by her guilt .

Now that that is clear what if that guy Ben who affected monsters affected also Hope in the way she can only turn her humanity on for seconds and that was the reasson Josie's spell didn't work and actually this episode Hope recovered her humanity only for seconds and then she was forced back to no humanity status like how Ethan and kaleb were forced to kill that guy!
