Honestly I get from a certain reason why we don't get the kitsune showing up, cause it doesn't come off as your typical monster, its a fox basically and in tvd novels its like some human fox spirit thing but its still a creature nonetheless and plus even if jp wants to stay away from lj smiths novels, they've finally dived into these other mythical creatures, idk why the kitsune is exempt. Like it would have been perfect cause its Japanese in origin for the samurai episode but instead we got that lame oni. Maybe its just cause foxes are hard to handle and they cant afford a cgi version or puppet version.
