Are vampires only hurt by one species of vervain or can they be harmed by all of them, because there is over 150 known species of vervain in the world.

I'm just curious about it if has ever been mentioned or anything like that that Alaric still drinks vervain in Legacies as precaution for Vampire students trying to compel him.
For Damon Salvatore’s fandom page you should add a section for 1865 because that's when he made sure vervain never grew in mystic falls again. That's what Stefan said in season 1.
Does vervain hurt Hope? Hope's vampire side is still pretty confusing to me! (also I'm trying my best to tag properly)
Can someone please explain to me the last episode because i'm confused. If Stefan had vervain in his system, why did he walk away in such a calm manner? Shouldn't he be running to get to the ambulance to extract the cure etc.?
I was wondering if siphoners have the ability to siphon vervain. I mean, Kai could siphon Tyler's werewolf bite. Just wondering, comment your thoughts below-thank you!
So I’m rewatching TVD for the like fourth or fifth time. After Alaric gets turned back into a human in season 6, why does he not go back on vervain to prevent compulsion? Like come on. I know they needed the Ascendant from Jo to move the plot along. But Alaric is smarter than to not go back on vervain as soon as he turned human again.
If a person is in transition to becoming a vampire, would the vervain hurt them?
