Nah, nature made it at the sight of the tribrid, it’s her only weakness at the moment.
@Ripper heretic We’ve seen that when it comes to immortality (though this happens in other types of spells), if a witch uses an aspect of Nature (Traditional Magic) or even Dark Magic to achieve it, Nature always retaliates by using the exact same natural things that were used or other things connected to the caster, to create weaknesses that can revoke the immortality because according to it everything alive must die. But in Silas and Amara’s case, Nature couldn’t create any such object or weakness that could revoke their Immortality. Nature would have “checked” the entire earth for what Qetsiyah channeled or used and made that a weakness that could naturally kill Silas and Amara or found a way around it (it usually aways finds a natural way to revoke any spell) but it couldn’t find anything. This is why it created Silas and Amara doppelgangers to be born so they could die in the place of Silas and Amara. This is the greatest proof that Qetsiyah didn’t use anything but her own power to create the First Immortality Spell. If she channeled something, Nature would have used that thing against her spell.
@Ripper heretic A small portion of her blood was equal in power to a celestial event (specifically a fullmoon). Since this was the case, that would mean that her total power would be equal to several celestial events, and that’s a whole lot of power for one witch to have. So it won’t be unbelievable that her own power could create something as powerful as the First Immortality Spell, the Cure and even the Other Side.
Tvdu Contradicts a lot tbh and it pisses me off
And to add into that, you remember when Katherine ask bonnie to make her truly immortal, bonnie told Katherine she needed the spell from Tessa and had to communicate with her to get it.
Qetsiyah. You have to take in the types of magic these witches use and the feats they do with them. All of Qetsiyah’s spells were with traditional magic, meaning that’s her own regular power and strength. Esther used dark magic which is stronger than traditional magic but she couldn’t do what Qetsiyah did which was create the perfect immortality spell.
@Tommy,Klaus&Kol2012+ good question, you remember back then Tessa and her coven only practice traditional magic and since Tessa was one of if not the most powerful witch of all time she created the immortal with pure power that nature could not find a way to balance it out. Esther drew on dark magic and other item that’s why nature could find a loophole to kill her kids. doppelgänger, essay question ayana probably told her about the history of Tessa and and sisals and Amara.
@Mideuuuh and I never ask Esther dint use the original spell, what I said was ayana wouldn’t do it so Esther took it upon herself to contact the witch that had spell since anyan would not do it. Ayana knew of the spell and did not want no part of it, because of 1. Nature would find a loophole to destroy her kids and 2. The spirits would punish them as stated by Esther the spirits punished Esther for creation of vampires
@Mideuuuh i was clearly stating the immortality spell Esther used was Tessa original spell, never said Esther wanted he kids to be like Silas. I also clearly said Esther used the sun and the tree for power and used dark magic to create the first vampires. Esther did not know her kids were going to be vampires, all she wanted was her kids to he strong enough to defend themselves from the werewolf with immortality as stated tvd.
Also the Spirits retaliated against her, and she unknowingly transformed them into the first vampires
Second, people seem to forget that Ayana is a descendant of Qetsiyah who was the original author of the Immortality Spell. I would say Ayana shared this information to Esther, but her pupil wasn’t powerful enough to cast the original version so Esther had to beg her mentor to cast it on her behalf to protect her children from the werewolves. When Ayana declined, Esther had no choice but to create an improvised version of the Immortality Spell that drew power from different elements of nature (The Sun, White Oak and Doppelganger blood). Interestingly, it was implied that Ayana knew Esther’s version of the spell was flawed when she warned her pupil that casting it would be “the makings of a plague.”
After losing Henrik, Esther and Mikael spoke with Ayana about a possible way of protecting their children from the werewolves. They wanted to protect what family they had left, but Ayana was not willing to perform the spell, as she believed it was a crime against nature. This left Esther to do the spell by herself, at her husband's urgings, not knowing she was creating what would become deadly bloodthirsty creatures, abominations of nature. At Mikael's request, Esther created a ritual to make her children and husband immortal. Mikael wanted to be superior to werewolves in power, speed, and senses. Esther took blood from Amara's doppelganger descendant Tatia, and spelled the blood. Mikael offered his children wine laced with the spelled blood and killed his children by stabbing them in their hearts with his sword. Esther's spell called on the Sun for life, resurrecting her children, and drew from the White Oak Tree, one of nature's eternal objects, to give her children immortality.
@Mideuuuh other example will be the ancestors using Esther immortality spell to create anther immortal person (the beast) Tessa spell is the cause of vampires.
@Mideuuuh she copy the spelled, as indirectly stated by Tessa. When Tessa killed herself she stated altered someone life is what cause this whole mess in the first place, talking about Silas, and vampires. Second Esther ask ayana to use her magic to make her kids immortal, as seen the Bennett witches have great communication with the spirits, socks ayana said no, Esther probably took it upon herself to contact the spirit that created the immortality spell in the first place. Plus Esther literally said ayana was her teacher, so Esther definitely learned spirit magic from ayana as ayana was good at communicating with the spirits on the otherside.
You said the witch that put the curse on the coven, I was saying it be impossible because the curse was place on them 2000 years ago not 1000 years ago
No she said “worth trying” it was a 50/50. Either way the cure can cure hope.
The cure was said to cure anything immortal even Silas immortality and Silas did not have to die for to become immortal. The cure will just cure the vampire side of hope and she will become a regular witch/ werewolf that’s why Bex offer her the cure because she knew it would work on her. The cure is so powerful it can cure anything that is immortal. It was even said to cure Cade immortality but that never Happened.
The witch part wouldn’t make sense, because the Merge has been happening for 2000 years.
Shane find the stone at the island, the cure was buried where Silas was sealed, so it needed magic to open the place he was sealed. We never know if she used expression, but it said that after getting her magic back she was practicing traditional magic. So if she open dials tomb was expression or traditional magic it great. The stone was probably at the island.
Bonnie with expression was already powerful without the power of the sacrifice.
