How come in the beginning when Hayley was in transition she had to drink Hope’s blood? couldn’t it of just been anyone else’s blood?

Katherine and The Curse

So we know that Katherine killed Jeremy. but Jeremy was a vampire hunter. so did Katherine ever have the vampire hunter curse or did we just not see it?
