This may seem very out of place but I really want to get this out there
This was my friend Billy. He committed suicide a few days ago by jumping into the Detroit River. What truly kills me is the fact that he narrated his day on Instagram leading up to his death. He left so many hints, crying out for help yet none of us realized what they meant until after it was too late. His last post (“Time to see if my watch is really waterproof.”) has and will continue to haunt me.
You never know what a person is going through. They may be like Billy and mask their pain with laughter and smiles, but they could truly be dying inside. Don’t let yourself or anyone you care about end up like Billy. If you have or know anyone with suicidal thoughts or tendencies, contact the Suicide Hotline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255). It can always get better. Suicide is NEVER the answer.
I know this seems very out of place but I just want you all to know that, if you ever have any problems, even if we don't talk much (or at all) on here, you can always come talk to me.
