So for a vampire to be sired to another vampire, they have to have human feelings toward that vampire. If that is the case, why wasn't Damon or Stefan sired to Katherine? I mean granted she was dead but when she came back shouldn't they have been sired to her? It was proven that both Stefan and Damon were in love with Katherine regardless of compulsion or anything else. So it begets the question were they really in love with Katherine or something else?

A loophole is a work around. For compulsion it's a way to not do exactly what your told. Hope is a loophole because a vampire can't procreate. Klaus had hope l. She was an even bigger loophole because she wasn't just a vampire, she was a tribute. But they called her a balance of nature for Malivore because she could kill him. Nature needs balance. Nothing can be immortal or too powerful. The White Oak tree wasn't a weakness to Hope so Nature created a red oak tree. She's still a weakness to Malivore should he come back but she's too powerful to be alive technically so balance. That's also a reason a siphoner can be a vampire witch hybrid. There unnatural but they're still able to die. Balance to nature only happens when something is too powerful as in they can not die. A siphoner witch may be more powerful but they still have regular vampire weaknesses. Balance only happens when something seems unable to be killed
