Oh, eventually they will HAVE to come up with someone more dangerous than Silas.
He will live in Mystic Falls, pretend to be Stefan, fall in love with lovely Elena (like everybody else) or Katherine and became a woopy eyed puppy by the end of the season.
Yes, it would be really nice if they accelerated a bit, but I don't think they would manage to bring it all the way to current date - unless they jump a year or two during the break it won't happen. And with The Originals roling during the break, I guess it wont happen!
Thanks for understanding!
Kudos to you, I guess it works!
You might have fixed the mess the writers have done with this season!
Unfortunately I have not been able to work as much this year as I did last year. Real life is interfeering with my virtual life!
For me this is one more argument for it being a curse and not "genes".
Do you know of any "gene" that is activated by an action???
You are either born with blue eyes or with brown eyes. Killing somebody does not change the color of your eyes. If one's skin is very white and spends too much time in the sun, one ends up pink and with skin cancer - but not brown - and painting a house does not change this.
However if it is a curse, if it is magic, anything is possible!
Maybe we should ignore the character's comments about things happening "yesterday" and just put the halloween episode in (or close to) 31 October, Chistmas close to 24 Dec and so forth.
The timeline will only "work" if each episode is on a different month. I haven't calculated it, but it's my gut feeling that for this season this will be the better fit.
Ok, that is an exageration. Maybe one episode per week, if we pin Christmas in December, would bring graduation to the end of May or early June (when IS graduation in the US???)
What do you think?
That is an iteresting idea - that maybe Vamp Elena could fall for Silas as Stefan....
One is born with their DNA. You inherit one of each DNA pairs from your father and your mother. A copy of them is in every single of your cells - but in each cell only the genes necessary for that cell's form and fuction are active. All the other are dormant.
Although it is theoretically possible to change the DNA somebody was born with, it has not been achieved so far, and poses considerable challenge.
Scientists are trying to engineer nanobots that act as virus that would deliver the new code to all the cells of a certain organ. That would be useful, for example, to teach pancreas cells in diabetic people to produce insulin - but we are FAR AWAY from these.
I don't believe that either Vampirism or Licantropism in TVD is genetic - even if characters mentioned that it is. I have seen absolutely no evidence of this.
Not everything that is hereditary is a gene, and many genetic characteristics are defined by several genes. As an example, something relatively simple as eye color in humans are defined by 6 gene pairs - that is what generates the variety of eye colors that we know and love - honey, hazelnut, blue, green, brown, black and all the combinations in between.
Something as complex as a werewolf transformation cannot possibly be determined by ONE gene. Even if it was, each gene can be dominant or recessive, so there are 3 possible combinations for each gene, producing at least 3 potential different fenotypes (AA, Aa, aa).
If lycantropism was a gene, there would be potentially 3 different expressions - Werewolf, half-werewolf , not werewolf. The magic folk from Harry Potter seems to follow this rule more closely, as you have magic folk, muggles (non-magic) and squibs (children of magic folk with limited or no magic at all - but even that is fickle)
But it seems that all descentants of werewolves are potentially werewolves.
Werewolf in TDV universe is a family curse. Somebody and all their descentands were cursed, for some reason I hope we learn someday. Generational curses are mentioned even in the Bible
Werewolf is a CURSE, not a gene....
You could be right, twice! There could be more time between these episodes, and this still does not fix the timeline!
No, I think nobody bothered or had time to create her back story....
Zombie - Undead Human >___<
Ian Sommerhalter, apparently gave some interview where he said he is "not thrilled" by the idea of the Originals, because it takes so many talented actors from TVD.
I think he has a point.
It has to be Stefan. He needs to suffer a lot, descend to hell then come back - AGAIN!
If it was Silas, what the fun? Who would be the Big Bad of the season?
Well, not before the end of Season 1 at least, as it looks like Marcel will be the Big Bad for this season of the Originals
The mother died of complications after the birth of the youngest son, Stefan. His father blamed him for her death. So an older sister who died with the mother would not make sense. And of course the mother could not have died before the younger sons were born!
The only possibility is if Salvatore father had yet another illegitimate child - but they never explained how his illegitimate son from one of the maids inherited the estate - but that is still another matter!
Still, there are enough "cute ghost girls " floating around for it to be a trope.
Better that than Zombie!
I think she would be called Mary Sue
Even if it is Aaron Mikelson, he could appear in flashbacks. I am hoping for more flashbacks showing the origins of the Originals...
