Cody Webber was a character who appeared in the tenth episode of the second season of The Vampire Diaries. He was a vampire who was in contact with Slater and who was at least an acquaintance of Niklaus Mikaelson. Shortly after showing up at Slater's apartment to claim Elena Gilbert for him, he was killed by Elijah who ripped his heart out of his chest.

Season Two[]
In The Sacrifice, Cody came to Slater's loft after Alice contacted him with news that the Petrova doppelgänger, Elena, was ready to willingly offer herself to Klaus. However, before he could take her to him, Elijah showed up, first killing one of Cody's men before demanding to know what Cody was planning to do. Once Elijah determined that no one else, including Klaus, knew that Cody and his men were there, Elijah ripped Cody's heart out before leaving without a word.

He worked for Klaus, and when he went to retrieve Elena, he showed that he was afraid of Elijah because of the fact that he was an Original.
Physical Appearance[]
Cody was an adult vampire with brown hair and blue eyes with a somewhat slim build and tall stature. He had a slight stubble on his chin and a clean, slim mustache.

Cody possessed all the standard powers and abilities of a non-Original vampire.

- Cody is a name of Gaelic origin, and means "helper," possibly an indication that he was a minion of Klaus.[1]
- Webber is of English origin and was an occupational name for a weaver.[2]

- With the Other Side's collapse and destruction of Hell, he either found peace or went to a dimension similar to Hell, if one exists.
