Deputy Adams was a character who appeared in the first episode of the fourth season of The Vampire Diaries. He was a police officer who worked with the Town Council to search the town for vampires and bring them to Pastor Young's ranch. He was killed by Stefan through head trauma so Elena could feed on his blood and complete her transition.

Throughout The Vampire Diaries Series[]

Season Four[]

In Growing Pains, he accompanies Pastor Young and two other police officers to the hospital to search around the building for vampires. He comes across Matt Donovan's room and quickly looks around, not knowing Caroline had been in the room.

Later, at the pastor's ranch, he comes into the barn where Stefan is making noise and threatens him with vervain. Stefan tells him Elena is innocent and will die, but Adams tells him it's not his problem and walks away. After Stefan lunges at the bars, Adams fires two shots into Stefan and goes back outside. Not long after this, Rebekah gets him back in and offers him money, castles, etc., to let her out, but he states he'd rather watch her die, and she vamps out, scaring him near Stefan's cell, who grabs Adams and bashes his head until blood starts slowly coming out, which Elena uses to complete her transition into a vampire.

Personality[]

He had a generally quiet demeanor, but takes his job seriously while hunting for vampires in the town. He is shown to be rather callous to vampires as he didn't care if Elena would die while she was in transition, stating that it wasn't his problem.

Physical Appearance[]

He had a somewhat tall stature, athletic build and wore a deputy's radio on his left shoulder with a gray shirt underneath a green uniform. He had brown eyes and short, dark brown hair.
