"Law and order". Peace and harmony among the species because everyone stays where they belong.

Emmett was a vampire on The Originals. He assumed leadership of Greta's Nightwalkers following her death and was a major antagonist in the fifth season.

Early History[]

Nothing is known about his history.

Throughout The Originals Series[]

Season Five[]

In God's Gonna Trouble the Water, after the death of his leader, Greta Sienna, Emmett invited Greta's daughter, Antoinette, and the amnesiac Original vampire, Elijah Mikaelson, to the Nightwalkers' hideout. He wanted to celebrate Greta properly with all of her friends after her demise, congratulating Elijah on the part he played in the death of the hybrid, Hayley Marshall-Kenner. He explained that their hideout and its covered windows were because their daylight rings were taken, but rationalized that it made them more pure to live without them. After explaining his loyalty to Greta and his belief that vampires needed to reclaim their place as the apex predator, Antoinette told him that her parents' beliefs hadn't been an actual movement in a century. Emmett rebuked her and claimed that they were an army, revealing far more vampires on his side than had initially appeared.  Soon after, Elijah and Antoinette were taken by Klaus, and Emmett and his Nightwalkers went to Hayley's funeral and demanded that the pair be returned to them. They brandished stakes and weapons, ready to unleash chaos during the funeral. Hope Mikaelson, upset by them dishonoring her mother's funeral, used her magic to destroy a nearby vehicle and then turned on the Nightwalkers. Emmett fired a shot to try and kill her but she was saved by Josh. Emmett and the Nightwalkers hastily retreated.

In We Have Not Long To Love, Emmett and the Nightwalkers posted notices that proclaimed that the French Quarter was being returned to the vampires and that werewolves needed to vacate the Quarter and go back to the bayou. Marcel Gerard and Joshua Rosza arrived at the Nightwalker den to tell them that they were no longer welcome in New Orleans. They chastised Emmett for trying to banish people from the French Quarter but he countered that he was just trying to put the various supernatural species back where they "belonged" and that segregation would bring law and order, reminding Marcel that those had been his rules years prior when he ran the city. When Marcel and Josh drew the curtains open to let the sun in, Emmett retreated to the corners of the room with his Nightwalkers. He told Marcel to enjoy the day but that when the night came, he and his followers would kill any werewolves that they found in the Quarter.

Emmett then met with Vincent Griffith in the cemetery, wanting the witch leader to work with the Nightwalkers. He threatened Vincent and the witches but Vincent did not take kindly to the threats, and told him that if anything happened to any witches, that he would come for the Nightwalkers. He told Emmett to leave or else he would drag Emmett out into the sunlight. Emmett drew his hood up to leave and told Vincent to reconsider his offer of a partnership. Emmett and the Nightwalkers then compelled a man to bomb the werewolf community, harming many in the explosion. Prompting the witches and werewolves to band together in the aftermath of the explosion, they confronted the Nightwalkers on the streets of the French Quarter with stakes and crossbows at the ready. Emmett was annoyed by their defiance, confused why separating the communities was acceptable when Marcel was leader but not when he was asking for the same thing. Marcel acknowledged that his old ways were the wrong ways but Emmett scoffed and asked Vincent if the werewolves were really worth dying for. Emmett revealed that he and his Nightwalkers were not actually there but a witch ally of theirs was helping them appear with astral projection. Emmett told Vincent that he had chosen his side and now had to deal with consequences, disappointed that he had not taken him up on his offer. Emmett's astral projection vanished and Vincent realized that Emmett had poisoned Ivy and other withces in the cemetery, killing them.

In There in the Disappearing Light, Emmett and the Nightwalkers ambushed Marcel in a warehouse. He put up a good fight against them but their witch ally used magic to break his neck and apprehend him. They then took Marcel captive and hooked him up to tubes to extract the venom laced within his fangs. Emmett acknowledged that it was ironic that years ago Marcel would have legions of vampires flocking to help him but now he was alone, while Emmett had the supporters since he stayed true to the vampires while Marcel was loyal to the Mikaelsons and forsook everyone else. Emmett explained that he used to really idolize Marcel and respect him when he heard stories of the vampire king that kept the werewolves and witches in line, and even that Emmett came to New Orleans because of those stories. However, he now thought that Marcel was a disappointment, especially now that he had apparently thought that being a vampire was not enough and turned himself into what Emmett considered an abomination. Despite being sickened by the enhanced Original Vampire, Emmett acknowledged that Marcel's venom would be useful against all of their enemies and planned to use it against the Mikaelsons.

Later, Emmett and the Nightwalkers responded to a summons to the church by Antoinette Sienna, who seemingly thanked them for their continued support after Greta's death. Emmett revealed that he had multiple vials of Marcel's venom and planned to use them to end the Mikaelsons. Elijah appeared and seemed to support the Nightwalkers. However, it was soon revealed that the Mikaelsons had laid a trap for the Nightwalkers. Elijah told Emmett and his followers that they would soon meet Greta's fate. Emmett watched in horror as Klaus and Hope appeared along with a freed Marcel. Hope used her magic to destroy the vials of Marcel's blood. Marcel told Emmett that he would enjoy watching him die as Hope Mikaelson unleashed her magic upon Emmett and the Nightwalkers. Her magic killed Emmett and the Nightwalkers in moments, causing Emmett to bleed from his eyes as he fell to the floor, killed alongside his extremist followers.

Personality[]

Emmett was a charismatic, cunning, and intelligent purist vampire who shared a strong belief in the purity and superiority of the vampires over all the other factions and sought to restore the vampire faction to power.

He was shown to be somewhat similar to Marcel in how he is able to regroup many vampires to his cause and to want law and order in the same way that Marcel ruled. He compared himself to Marcel, not seeing any difference between himself and how Marcel used to run things. However, he proved to be far more ruthless than Marcel was as king.

Physical Appearance[]

He had a tall stature with an athletic build. He had been seen wearing dark-colored clothing, and often donned a hood to avoid direct sunlight. He had short, dark brown hair and dark brown eyes.

Emmett possessed all the standard powers and abilities of a non-Original vampire.
