Season Six[]
In Because, Stefan and Caroline came here to feed. They were trapped by Damon in order to turn back their emotions on. Elena gave Caroline a letter from her mother, but she's burned it. At some point, she has realized that Stefan had already turned back his emotions, so she snapped his neck and escaped. After Stefan showed some of the memories/hallucination with her mother, she finally turned back her emotions.
