Grace Phipps has been cast on the series as April Young, a natural beauty with a bit of an edge. April has some history with both Elena and Jeremy, but Elena will try to protect her from the supernatural secrets of Mystic Falls.
She is known for playing Amy, best friend of Chloe in "The Nine Lives of Chloe King".
Phipps will make her first appearance in the second episode of Season Four.
