In Tangled Up In Blue Klaus had Josh torture a vampire until he bled dry so he could compell him to hurt Katie. While torturing the two of them share several deep looks.
In Fruit of the Poisoned Tree it is revealed by Marcel that Josh had to bring Klaus home a few times, later Josh shows up at the Mikelson manision to warn Hayley showing that Josh knows where Klaus lives and is in his inner circle already.

In The River in Reverse Josh lies to Klaus about Marcel's plans and lures him into a trap
In The Big Uneasy, Josh is publicy pardon by Klaus as an attempt to get Davina on his side and is given a daylight ring.
In The Battle of New Orleans, After concluding Davina helped Marcel. Klaus bites Josh for leverage for Davina to tell him where Marcel's army is. He doesn't heal Josh after he gets that informant because he's less concerned about him and more concerned taking Marcel down.
