Hey Dazzle, you were interested in my werewolf theory...I'm new to the forum.Anyway I was curious ,I have not read the books but was it Klaus that sired the salvator line in the books? I personally was not happy the writers opted to make Klaus the originator of the line, it seemed to predictable and kind of easy and expedient.I would have preferred if Rebekka was the one , coz of her hate of Elena (or perhaps jealousy of her) it would have been a better dynamic if she were the one who sired the Salvators it could give opportunity for Rebekka to perhaps give some options in that triangle or even create tension as the brothers would need to isolate her but at the same time not kill her for fear of dying. With Klaus the opportunity for driving the story forward is gone especially not that Elena is not his bloodbag. In any case een Kol would have been a good choice.
In the books Klaus is the only Original we meet (in Stefan's Diaries we do meet strong Vampires, but those books seem to be written separate and by a different author).
There are no siblings spoken of and Klaus is very different from the TV series. He is described as wearing a tattered raincoat and gives off a bad smell and does much more evil than Tv Klaus.
Klaus does originate the bloodline of the Salvatores as he transformed Katherine.
I think you are right, Rebekah or even Elijah may have given more of a storyline if they had been the originator of the bloodline. It looks like the writers for TV has given everything to Klaus, hybrid power as well as cure for werewolf bites. But his sire bonding seems to be only with the hybrids and not other vampires.
The other sire bond in the tv version seems to be Sage and her minion. He looked like he followed her around all the time. Or was that just her powers as a vamp?
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned anything regarding the letter found by Connor addressed to April Young.
I think there is a parallel to the books of Vampire Diaries where the unquiet spirits rise up to end Klaus's power over everyone. The spirits do not kill Klaus but takes him away where he cannot harm anyone.
This would work with his bloodline not dyeing when he is taken away and also answers the question about preparing for a war. Maybe there are worse characters to come and the unquiet spirits are what Pastor Young wanted by committing suicide so they can rise against the evil and fight the war.
I wasnt sure whereto add this bit of information as it needs a Spoiler alert too for both readers and viewers of TVD.
