The Mystic Tap is a bar and grille located in Mystic Falls, Virginia. The bar is a popular location for Mystic Falls residents, particularly staff of the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted, as Alaric, Dorian, Professor Vardemus and Emma Tig have been known to visit frequently.

Ryan begins absorbing the Keeper.
In Screw Endgame, Alaric invites Professor Vardemus to the Mystic Tap to talk about his daughters over a civil drink. He tells Vardemus that he will distance himself as long as his daughters are cared for. With this, he leaves Vardemus in the bar. The Keeper enters not long after, and Vardemus removes his ring, which reveals him to actually be Ryan Clarke, using Professor Vardemus as a disguise. Ryan — no longer under the guise of Professor Vardemus — touches the Keeper and begins absorbing her before a large blood splatter appears.
In That's Nothing I Had to Remember, Alaric responds to a report of an attack at the Mystic Tap. When he arrives, he finds Sheriff Machado has already cordoned off the area and is investigating. Sheriff Mac questions what happened, given he was seen there the previous night, however Alaric tells her it was probably just an animal attack. Nevertheless, she suspects him and arrests him for the crime, which is thought to be murder. He is eventually pardoned when Matt Donovan covers for him by providing him with an alibi.

- The bar could be seen as a replacement for the Mystic Grill, which does not feature heavily in Legacies.
