Alaric: Something you haven't had a chance to do in far too long: be kids. I want you to remember what it's like to not have to worry about something you shouldn't have to and grow closer together in the process.
The Salvatore School Field Day is the first ever field day event hosted by the Salvatore School's Student Activities Committee. It is led by its president, Milton Greasley.
Throughout Legacies Series[]
In We're Not Worthy, Alaric holds an assembly of the school's student body. He explains that it's been a rough time lately but that can get past it if they stand united as a school. Now, they'll get to do something that they haven't had the chance to do in a long time; to be just kids. In order to distract them from happening between Hope and Landon, MG, the Student Activities Committee president announces that they've planned the first ever field day for the school.
As they prepare, Josie is picked on by Alyssa and other witchs. She's out for vengeance for Josie killing her and intends to make the day unbearable for her. Off campus, they arrive at the field day location and the factions disperse amongst themselves. Wade, however, goes off on his own, LARPing, as a fairy faction of one. MG tells Lizzie that the true test will be when the different factions pick captains to start playing games together, with vampires, witches and werewolves on the same team for a change. Before that happens, Lizzie just wants to soak in this golden moment, when they both believe that maybe his plan would have worked. Lizzie, however, becomes distracted when she notices Alyssa vying for the vote of captain among the witches. She indicates that, if elected, she's only choosing witches for her team because unity starts in the coven; this is with the exception of Josie. Lizzie interrupts her, citing that, if the witches knew better, they should vote for her, otherwise things may revert to how things used to be. Josie attempts to stop her sister for making her situation all the more worse, but doesn't listen. Alyssa relents as the witches choose Lizzie, but makes it a point to remind her that MG has allowed her free reign to choose their first activity, which she picks tug of war.
Right before the game begins, Josie worries that it's going to be a disaster. Alyssa has werewolves (Jed) and vampires (Kaleb) on her team and she shouldn't be the anchor for the rope that weighs more than she does. Lizzie tells her that it doesn't matter if she casts immobilus. She tries to tell Lizzie that she can't cast, but Lizzie doesn't make the effort to listen. She wants to win against Alyssa and the game proceeds. Lizzie's team begins losing and, at the last second, Lizzie decides to abort the tug of war. The game ends with Alyssa's team as victors and an embarrassing fall from Josie that lands her face first into the pit of mud. Josie is furious at Lizzie for not listening to her, that she put away her siphoning power and can't cast magic. Ultimately, she tells Lizzie that she doesn't want her to get involved as she makes things worse. Everyone should be mad at her and she's just repeating her past mistakes of making things worse for her and everyone else. Moments later, however, their argument is interrupted when Wade arrives and introduces the mysterious Lady of the Lake. Regrettably, their field day is cut short as the newest Malivore monster, the Green Knight appears on the field and threaten the world should he obtain Excalibur, which Wade borrowed and brought with him.
