New hero rises but can be felled by the golden arrow.

The Golden Arrow is an enchanted arrow with mystical properties capable of killing a phoenix. The arrow's mystical properties have no effects on humans, though still capable of delivering fatal wounds. Likewise with Landon, when stabbed with the arrow, he died and the arrow prevented him from self-resurrecting. However, when Landon was resurrected by the Necromancer, Landon eventually learned that the arrow ultimately killed his phoenix side, which rendered him mortal and human.

Description[]

The Golden Arrow is a gold casted, slender arrow imbued with magic that is capable of felling a phoenix.

Throughout Legacies Series[]

Season Two[]

In It Will All Be Painfully Clear Soon Enough, the unnamed sphinx provides Alaric and Dorian a riddle that foretells the future. Within the riddle, he tells them that a new hero rises but can be felled by the Golden Arrow.

In What Cupid Problem?, Chad and the Necromancer raid the Salvatore School's weapons armory. Back in the Salvatore crypt, Chad finds an arrow amongst the various trinkets and weapons that the Necromancer calls junk. It's the arrow that Pothos wanted in exchange for distracting the Salvatore kids. Unfortunately for Pothos, he was killed during the confrontation and now belonged to the Necromancer, who praised Chad for finding it.

In You Can't Save Them All, Malachai Parker teams up with the Necromancer to fell the phoenix. He compels Dorian to kidnap Landon and takes him out through the woods towards the Falls at Steven's Quarry, straight into the path of the Golden Arrow. Landon tries to get free from Dorian but is unable to and pleads with him to fight the compulsion. Dorian, however, has to take him to the boulders and hold him while they shoot the Golden Arrow. The Necromancer's acolyte appears, takes aim with the arrow and releases it. At the last second, Dorian twists around, still holding on to Landon, and the arrow strikes him in the lower torso. Missing his mark, the acolyte flees.

In Life Was So Much Easier When I Only Cared About Myself, Rafael was reanimated by the Necromancer. He attempted to leave but he wouldn't let him. Not having any free will of his own, the Necromancer took control of his new acolyte and forced Rafael to stab Landon with the Golden Arrow. For all intents and purposes, Landon was dead.

In Facing Darkness is Kinda My Thing, Rafael knew something was wrong as it had never taken Landon this long to resurrect before. Alaric recalls the sphinx’s prophecy and believes that "felled" could mean anything. All they had to do was find the original Coptic word. The fact remained and Rafael knew that Landon was dead.

Season Three[]

In Goodbyes Sure Do Suck, Landon learns the truth about the arrow’s capabilities. Upon being resurrected by the Necromancer, he was no longer a phoenix. He was human and mortal with a single remaining life. The sphinx's prophecy had come to pass — the golden arrow felled the phoenix.
